Any idea which country holds largest man power of Huawei out side China?
:pakistan::cheers:
By end last year, Huawei employs around 136,000 staff from China (13,000 of them sent and stationed overseas), and around 34,000 staff from 163 countries outside China. I don't have exact staff number of each overseas country, judging by relative size of markets I guess distribution is quite even.

Oh is Pakistan? Good to hear that iron brother! It makes sense to service MENA/SSA markets from Pakistan, language and market knowledge are essentials, wish your friends happy and rewarding IT career!

Can you provide me some sources?

Because according to my knowledge, the largest foreign R&D base of Huawei was in Bangalore, India.

Also my source is iron clad.

It is official Huawei press release:

Do you know what services means and what is R&D? Read my post again i didn't mentioned R&D but support.

You asked (rhetorically) in a WIPO and Patent thread, replying to a post about Huawei's patents, about the largest overseas country for Huawei's patents.

You then replied:

All hardware and technical support from Huawei and all technical staff was from Pakistan. Anything in ME and Africa, Huawei Pakistan give Technical support to them.
You mention the "largest IT poll" and hardware and technical support.

I would say that it is you who are misleading.

Apart from that I even doubt that Huawei would have a technical support staff larger than any other in Pakistan. Where is your source? Where do you derive this information from?

Are you IT pro?. I am IT pro and working in Gulf for more then 12 years as an Network engineer. My area of expertise is IBM and Cisco base platform. Read post again and it will reveal you what field i mentioned. IT field is not small field and have many branches. The main distribution of IT Pro will be
  1. Hardware
  2. Software
  3. Networking
  4. Graphics

But this is irrelevant. Please list your sources for your claim that Huawei has its largest support staff in Pakistan.

China's rush to the patent game is actually detrimental to China. It will gradually kill off the competitiveness of Chinese companies. Precedents plenty. For example, how German chemical companies without patent protection killed British and French companies that enjoyed patent protection.

For anyone who would like to know the damage done by patent and copyright protection, I recommend a book titled "Against Intellectual Monopoly", which is freely available. It is a real eye opener.

The issue is not the IPR itself but the way it has been implemented.

Patent gives 20 years of monopoly.
Copyright about 70 years after death of Author.

This is the problem, any work is protected for same period. 20 years is four generations of hardware and software in computer programs. It should be based on category and expenses incurred by the inventor. For example, software algorithm only 1 or 2 years at max or if any. Hardware designs 2 to 3 years max. Pharma, 6-10 years based on expense incurred.

70 years is ridiculous for copyright and was introduced to protect monopoly of Disney over Mickey Mouse. Maximum 1-2 years for movies. 2-3 years for songs. 5 years for books.

Wow, now you trying to claim Huawei success on Indians? My cousin works in Huawei, and India R&D is more like a localisation hub, no core research is done there. It use to be big when we got multi-bliion projects in India to show some local content, now it has been downsized.

industrial design
Great! Patent measures R&D results, while industrial design is another important IP especially for manufacturing industry, see post #25 for IP details from WIPO 2016. China in recent decade has already surpassed Japan, SK, US and Europe to become the world's largest originator of industrial designs, more than rest-of-the-world combined since 2010.

Man, there is something wrong with you. No where did I imply that Indians are behind Huawei's success. It is ultimately a Chinese company and most of its employees are Chinese.

I always just responding to some Pakistanis who were claiming that Huawei has its largest overseas research base in Pakistan, which is nonsense.
