you guys are mature than me and have much better knowledge and experience but i want to give my opinion. one of the biggest problem on this forum is troll and religious hatred and hate based on country. instead of talking about issue or giving opinion when one cannot answer that problem then they start spitting hatred like cow mutar drinker , hate towards jews and hate towards muslim. when you allow that then it would create mess and make forum like a machli baxaar and because of it many guys who are real worthy left that forum and i blame it on all mods because they allow it . instead of quantity they should prefer quality and dnt allow fazol bakwas. if you dnt like someone it does not mean you start to hate them. beature and respect other wether they are jews hindus and muslim and dnt act like a fool.

Wow, what a great solution. After reading such comments, it feels like we as a society are going towards intolerance.

Bhai, remember one thing, not all Indians are good, but all of them aren't bad either, same goes for Pakistanis. All Pakistanis aren't bad but all of them are not good either. Instead of banning all Indians, isn't it better to ban trolls, no matter what nationality they hold or what country they belong to.

I have experienced a lot of hatred against Zoroastrians in the middle east areas.

It's very weird for us because most Indics love us.

While I have been away I noticed some contentious issue that developed recently on the forum due to a member who at least in my opinion was very valuable and knowledge but then posted a VERY objectionable post which led to a lot of backlash with all sorts of fiery angst.

But this is not exactly about that.
More so, this is about how far does one take the words and emotions online into the effectiveness of our daily lives, whether disagreement is worth keyboard smashing when it comes to contentious issues and whether it makes sense for people to people dialogue between such opposing sides of Pakistan and India, Indian Hindus and Pakistani Muslims, Arabs and Iranians, political opponents such as PTI supporters and Noon Leagers or religious opponents like Droid users and Apple loyalists.

So lets really look at it from a perspective of the positives and negatives of the most key engagement here.. Indians and Pakistanis.

What are really the advantages of having Indian members on this forum that is based around the military and safety of Pakistan, allowing them membership and then debating issues with them?
What are the disadvantages (leaving aside trolls)?.. more propogation of hatred?

Not just advantages or disadvantages to Pakistanis and their future ideals and thoughts but also to Indians too. There is a human element to both and it needs to be looked at.

Perhaps if a vote or majority direction is taken then a petition can be made to push whatever proposal it is. Be it a change in attitudes of both engaging parties or maybe a complete cessation of Indian membership to this forum; leaving all actual discussion to hopefully less “defense” inclined platforms?? Would it make sense to have a platform dedicated to such engagements with a less “hostile” look?

Anything goes but my hope is to see what leads to the advantage of all members and then to the platforms focus and quality.
Im keeping the mods out of this to let this be an honest roll call of whether it is worth to engage what is essentially an enemy state(for both sides) on a platform essentially focusing on the capability to kill the other.

Strongly agreed. Here I will suggest stronger moderation against those Pakistani and Indian posters who use foul or abusive language against others(specially using religious names). And off topic trolling should be handled with out most purity of sword edge.

We must uplift the quality of this forum to all new heights.

Disadvantage? advantages? To me to be honest, all this makes no sense. Only those join the defence forum who are little knowledgeable. It isn’t a platform like Facebook where you should get away with your stupid remarks on ones religion and hurt the sentiment of a huge number of people. That too when you are a TTA.
Only a person who does this in real would do it on social media as well. It’s not about Islam only. If any individual disrespect any religion SHOULD BE IMMEDIATELY BANNED without a question.
Also, most of people say, religion talks should be banned. This is impossible in my opinion. We gotta deal with rationally and admins have to be very active on forum to deal with this all.

Thank you very, very much. While one part of me is amused at the wasted effort, the other part is deeply touched at what appears, beneath the persiflage, a genuine concern, as it were, for the brand that might be saved from the burning.

Oh,I already eat beef, but in the form of steak; I don't much care for biryani. It appears, however, that there might soon be an influence in my life that frowns on beef-eating, and I may be deprived of this minor pleasure.
