well hope you are aware that according to Islam ,a marriage that the girl willingly didn't gave her consent to it is not valid and is not different with no marriage .

and it's the same between all of Islam sect as holy prophet himself decreed such.

Yes indeed. One of the first things that the Qazi (who solemnises the marriage) asks the girl (and the boy) if they are willingly acceding to the marriage. it is another thing that the family members are around; sometimes in the role of "bouncers" to see that the "right answer" is given.

So it is yet another instance of what was intended degenerating into what has become.

Depends on the society class. Not too sure of that. But it does remind me of the girls "sold" into marriage from India and Pakistan to Arabs.. Seen that movie "Well done Abba" by Irani?

There was also a very well made film in India (not Bollywood) on this theme called "Bazaar". It was set in Hyderabad, and IIRC starred Farrooque Shaikh among others.

Desis are sissies who want to settle abroad; brought their children in Western societies with all good facilities and at the end wants their children to be cattle in terms of marriage consent.

If they cant adjust to western lifestyle and values then they should not migrate

I think you are unaware of the situation in UK. Many victims of forced marriages have tried to commit suicide and some have succeeded.
