Although unified Korea still possible right now, it will painful process for both Korea. For North will be mass migration of human resources to South, there's huge social problem. For South they got economic burden for dealing so much problem from North. It will not feasible right for know, except North has reach near or one par with South in term of economic and social strata.
China will not permit the unification of South and North. Imagine when Korea is one country and the way they see China. In history, they also have territory conflict with China, China scared when the neighbor of them get more and more strong and will be enemy of them in the future too. See North Vietnam and South Vietnam, It is an example. They support North Vietnam to counter America but decreasing to stop when American retreated out. North Korea is too difficult to come back to South Korea if they dont want to pay a price.
