Will Al Qaeda Fail in India?

It is interesting to know that Indian Muslims were waiting 44 years to find an excuse to form anti state militant groups.
LOL and what led partition of india "nothing to do with religious hatred"?

.
Aab Hindu nationalists unn dino kaunsa satellite channels dekhte the, Sarthak Babu? :D

How do you intend on bringing justice to so called "oppressed muslims" by involving terrorist groups?, dont you think it will be counter productive?.

Hatred was on both sides................we were not any silent peace loving angels at that time.
Back to the topic,,,,at this point muslim terrorism is the problem, whatever be the reason for its start.

Need to get rid of that

After partition of India more Muslim chose to stay in India than those who migrated. How does that define perennial religious antagonism causing partition?

Sorry, I did not understand. A little more elaboration please.

No. Not Hindu nationalists...this was applicable to everyone. :D Actually we did not need to see. After Maqbool Bhatt's terrorist attacks on us - we did not need TVs to report them. That happened in 1984. Heard stories, was born later. :P
There were attacks even before that.

Islamic terrorism is a side effect of Globalization. Indians had nothing to do with Wahabbi ideology. Now even youths in Kerala are flaunting it openly. It's not because of ignorance. Quite the contrary - it is because they are interested about the idealism and romanticism of an egalitarian and pure world of believers.

I will honestly recommend you to go to mosques on Fridays to hear the sermons. I have some advantage in this regard. I can read Urdu and look/dress quite like a namaazi :P

Even then do we hear about some Ahmedi or Shia or Christian terror groups?
No.

We hear only about hardline Sunni Salafi groups - because that's their ideology.

With growing integration, literacy and Internet - this will grow. Not that I am against Globalization...not at all. But this is a burden we have to carry.

Sarthak, a huge number of Sunni Muslims too are victim of terrorism which gets cleverly ignored by rightist arguments. Any ways, enough of secularism debate. You know we will never agree on this.

Hi bro. :D

We know Pakistan does not promote al Qaida any longer. :P ...and don't get defensive. Supporting LeT etc or whatever their new avatars is your state policy. There is nothing moral/immoral about it. You are doing what you think you need to do within capabilities.
pakistan supports kashmiris no doubt bout it….but not such organizations that simply are evil and want to kill innocents..

muslim choose to remain in india because of financial and econmical reason and i think money prevails than religion:D

Our only long term hope is a Reform Movement in Islam.

Quite like the Salafis Wahabbi Movement. Even that was a reform movement, only in the opposite direction. The world needs a reform movement that will transport the thinking into the present times. Something along the lines of Swami Vivekananda's thinking vis a vis Hinduism or European Renaissance ....

This movement must eclipse the growing Wahabbi influence. Otherwise these conflicts will continue as these are the manifestations of a disease only - just the symptoms.

Yeah India supports us too :D

That I am afraid is largely true :(

And I agree, it's mostly Muslims who suffer from this menace. That is beyond doubt.

This is the very reason that debunks the "in built hatred" theory as proposed by Sangh and Islamic terrorist groups, my friend. No matter what moves the earth, general Indian Muslims would remain as they have for the last one thousand years.

reform can only possible if it comes from within the muslim society and as long as terror outfit like indian mujahideen,SIMI,ISIS and al qaeda exists no muslim would dare to lead the reform movement.

no muslim would dare to lead the reform movement.
That's the challenge. There are movements afoot. Check the New Islam webpage, search for it. But they ain't popular though. The resistance to reform is too high. :(

Most Muslims, yes. Our Muslims are more docile, a product of 'Indian Islam' as Irfan Habib(that evil Marxist) says. j/k

that is only applicable to msulims that lived far away from the border. Had they lived closer to the border they would choose pakistan. Religious hatred did play a part during partition you may say it was politically motivated but it did exist.

That is not called as patriotism. That is called as having the cake and eating it too.

Muslims staying on in newly created Dominion of India and non Muslims staying in the nascent Dominion of Pakistan had NO relevance to their allegiance to the States just created. They stayed or left as per convenience. Rich people on both sides of the border, especially those with a lot of land (non transferrable) preferred to to stay.

For example many non Muslims in Pakistan had no idea about the intolerance they would be witness to. The idea was similar here as well. The people were the same - they had seen numerous conflicts between and among each other. There was a feeling that they will go back to living together again soon. There were many Muslims who stayed during the partition itself but left in the following years. The trickle of non Muslims from Pakistan to India is still happening even today!

So the idea that Hindus or Sikhs living in Pakistan stayed because they supported the Two Nation Theory is absurd, just like Muslim staying in India rejecting it. Wherever people felt safe, they escaped. A substantial Hindu population stayed on in East Pakistan. Not because they necessarily chose Pakistan over India, but because they chose a future of security as opposed to one of insecurity, uncertainty and lack of identity. In the South both communities were largely untouched because there was little incentive to leave everything and start from scratch. In Punjab and Sindh on the other hand there were plenty of reason to cross the border to respective safeties.
