The Lesser Flamingo (Phoenicopterus minor) is a species in the flamingo family of birds which occurs in Africa (principally in the Great Rift Valley), across to Pakistan and northwest India. It is the smallest and most numerous flamingo, probably numbering up to two million individual birds. In Africa, where they are most numerous, the Lesser Flamingos breeds principally on the highly caustic Lake Natron in Northern Tanzania. Like all flamingos, they lay a single chalky white egg on mounds they build of mud. Most of the plumage is pinkish white.

Oriental White-backed Vulture (Gyps benegalensis) and Long-billed Vulture (Gyps indicus)

There are a total nine species of vultures found in South Asia. Four of the Gyps vulture species are only found in Asia. These are Oriental White-backed Vulture (Gyps benegalensis), Long-billed vulture (Gyps indicus), Slender-billed Vulture (Gyps tenuirostris) and Himalayan Griffon Vulture (Gyps himalayensis). Eurasian Griffon Vulture (Gyps fulvus) breeds in Eurasia but migrates to Africa and South Asia. The geographic range of these vultures overlap (Pain et al 2003).

The White Crane is comon in parts of India and Pakistan

The Houbara Bustard, an endangered species of a fast-flying and cursorial desert bird that migrates to Pakistan each autumn — via Afghanistan and Iran — from the former Soviet Union and from the Central Asian steppes.
