Why So Many Pakistanis Hate Their Nobel Peace Prize Winner

Its because she probably didn't write this book. She should stick to her field of campaigning for children's education. I have respect for what she stands for, remember she is just a child, she will be used again and again to malign Pakistan. Her picture with old pervert Salman Rushdie speaks thousand words.

No one is jealous of her. No one hates her.

I m one of those against how she is being used as a vehicle of western propaganda against Islam. If you fit a profile where you can be controversial at home by aligning yourself with western agenda, even unknowingly, you will be hated at home.

List of Nobel peace prize winners is always controversial. How many of you who are using Malala to bash Pakistan would agree to Obama getting a Nobel Peace prize?

This is exactly what I mean by the Media's portrayal.

Also, I am very saddened that Abdul Sattar Edhi didn't win the Nobel Peace Prize yet. If anyone, it is he who deserves that kind of respect and appreciation. But then, its not like this "Peace" prize has any value anymore.

It might as well be renamed to "Western War-is-Peace Prize", only to be given to people who say the West is God and everyone else is Evil.

The reality? There are problems, there are people trying to solve said problems. Right now those people are not united, some don't know what to do, others are busy opposing eachother. That's because the government and governing parties are corrupt As soon as the government issues are solved, Pakistan will start moving in the correct direction.

But you'd rather believe that Pakistan is disintegrating and that there is no hope, all Pakistanis should just die, right?

Wasn't there another girl shot alongside her? What abt her? How many people even know her name? What abt the 1000s of girls struggling for education in occupied gaza strip? Malala's only achievement seems to be the fact that she was shot by the taliban loonies just like many other girls. However, people are waking up , against corruption, against misinformation, against manipulation, against VIP culture, against unfair rule. The current situation (of moving in the wrong direction) will not last long.

Right. So we should just sit and die, or move to the US or UK? No thank you. I am moving back to Pakistan soon, as planned, and I am going to contribute to my country's development, regardless of what some American on the internet says.

I think after observing this irrational trend among many Pakistanis, I think that a particular pattern of thinking centred and build around the ethos of some form of "holier than thou" self notion , highly dependent on escapism , especially deprived of introspections & there for extremely critical to criticisms , has to be the biggest reason for this particular trait
