WHY PEOPLE ARE HOMELESS IN CHINA

So you know about throwing families out on the streets with their luggage and picking up frozen dead homeless from the streets then?
Again, if we go by @Zsari definition of "Homeless" these people aren't homeless, because they would have somewhere they can fall back to, they choose NOT to.

Homeless in America does not usually be the type that they are alone in the world without anyone, I personally escort hundred of drug addicts and homeless people back to their family only to have them leave again or got kick out. It's one thing someone can offer them a place to stay, it's another thing they would accept that. That's why this is a social-Economic issue.

My poor auntie and her baby got kick out from house by husband. She go rent a room and live miserably. Then my grandmother took her in. In East Asia, the grandmother will be paid every month by children. Then my grandmother use all her allowance to buy an appartment for my auntie. My auntie then rent rooms people and make respectable living.

This is how East Asia works.

What is the number of homeless people in Hanoi? I do not know. But definitely more than "almost zero"

It's impossible to be "Almost Zero" even in Welfare state like Australia.

Every Citizen of Australia can apply for Government assistance, they will pay you around $1500 for doing nothing (Well, not nothing actually, you have to look for jobs, but then you can just deliberately flunk them like many people do here). You can either use that money and look for room/board yourselves or you go to department of housing and exchange that to a place to stay and less money (IIRC you still have around $600). A standard room with internet, electricity and water paid for is around $250 a week, so either you rent a room and then use the $500 the government pay you for food or you go to Department of Housing and ask for a room in public estate and get $600 for food or anything else. That's more than enough for a single person a month.

So technically, unless you are illegal, hence you are not entitled to government hand out, there are no way you can be homeless, and hence Australia should be "Almost Zero" but that is not true, and I doubt Chinese government or Vietnamese government did more than the Australian.

Being kicked out isn't exactly a choice. You know in China there is a thing called Hukou, a registration with which one is legally entitled to stay at the residence, instead of being under someone else's roof?

Being kicked out is a consequence of the choice that person made. You don't want to get kicked out, then you follow the rule, YOU CHOOSE NOT TO, that's why you got kicked out. Besides, as a cop of 11 years, done countless of Drunk and Homeless escort, I don't remember there are families ever that don't take the person back, it's call Tough Love in the west, sadly the cycle usually continue, they take the transient back, and they kick them out again, and I was called again, and escort them back to the family.

And what Hukou have to do with this?? You don't need to own that house to have the legal right to stay in it, as long as you have owner's permission.

You are stretching it. Nobody can kick you out of your own home if you are the legal co-owner of the house. Hukou does exactly that. No owner's permission needed as you are one of the owners.

China has no problems, all this has to be white anglo saxon conspiracy...

lol, who's stretching it?? How Hukou different then the deed or title of the deed of a property??

Not every home were owned by one single person. Say the property I have with my wife, it's on both our name, she can kick me out by law if she had applied for a restraining order. Because if I stay at that home with her, even if I also own that home, I am violating that restraining order, that means I am going to jail.

Just because you are entitled to something doesn't mean by law you can achieve that right.

Beside, this is not the point, as I said, if you count people who had "Hukou" in the village when they voluntarily beg in the city different than young people who had parent who had a home, and they ran away? Or how is it different than people who had family properties and choose not to live with them? Or how is it different than EVERY AUSTRALIAN who by law have access to Public Housing by the department of Social Service, which they can't be kicked out by the way, and choose not to engage with Social Service?

By your account, there should be NO Homeless people in Australia, because they all have government housing that cannot be kicked out by law. And the one that are homeless will be picked up by Immigration because those people would be illegal immigrant.

China has no problems, all this has to be white anglo saxon conspiracy...

‘What about stray people?’: Chinese TikToker shocked by number of homeless people after living in US for 2 years

A Chinese woman recently took to TikTok to express how shocked she was after seeing the staggering number of homeless people living on the streets in Portland, Ore. after she moved to the U.S. two years ago.

“Stray people”:
In a video posted a week ago by @lialiu_chinese, the TikTok user discussed some of the “things in America that Chinese don’t understand.” She raised concerns about the growing problem of homelessness in the country.

  • Speaking in the video, @lialiu_chinese recalls how her brain “exploded” after her husband told her that the tents they saw on the streets had people living inside them. Her husband explained that there is one shelter where homeless people can stay, but many of them choose to live on the streets because “there’s certain rules to follow and they may have drug or mental issues.”
  • “When I was in China, I saw videos like this all the time. Some Americans rescue stray cats, stray dogs… what about stray people? Do you want to give them a home?” the TikTok user asks in her video. She also mentions that her friends advised her to avoid homeless people for her safety.
  • She then compares the situation in the U.S. with that in China. She says that Chinese authorities help displaced people return to their hometowns, where they are placed in shelters and receive social welfare.
  • She adds that unlike in the U.S., where residents need an address when applying for most jobs, anyone in China — even people without homes — can look for work.
  • “For homeless people, they don’t have an address so they can’t find a job… in China, you just need an ID, you can find a job, like you can be a waiter, [and] they provide food, lodging and salary, though not gonna be much,” the TikTok user says.

A growing concern: Oregon reportedly has the seventh-highest number of displaced people in the country at around 15,876 in 2021, as per World Population Review, citing data gathered by the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness. California ranked the highest at 151,278, while Wyoming has the least at 548.

  • Last year, the National Alliance to End Homelessness reported more than 580,000 displaced people across the country immediately before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Most of the homeless people recorded were individuals (70%), while the rest were "people living in families with children."

Definitely not as bad as the US, homelessness in the US is largely due to drug abuse and mental illness/disability. If those are your issues it’s very hard to get off the streets. I’m pretty sure mental illness/disability plays a part in the homeless in China as well but thankfully drugs are largely out of the picture. If someone is homeless in China it’s pretty straightforward to rehabilitate them and get them a job. Migrant workers are more likely to fall into homelessness if they can’t find a job in the city. But worse come to worst they can always return home to the countryside, where their parents will happily take them in till they’re 65. Culturally America is very different, you’re basically sh!t outta luck with your parents kicking you out at 18.

Yes, your wife and you are on the title deed, but are your parents, adult offspring and relatives on the deeds as well? Those that you escorted, how many of them are you escorting them back to their husband and wife?
