Why no "MUHAJIR" has any problem living in Punjab ? Punjabies dont complain either

:woot:

Here's something from wiki based on 1998 census:

Lahore:

According to the 1998 census, 86.2% or 6,896,000 of the population are Punjabis; 10.2% or 816,000 are Urdu speakers and the Seraikis, at 0.4%, number about 32,000.

Karachi:

According to the 1998 census, 13.94% or 1,292,335 of the population are Punjabis, 48.52% or 4,497,747 are Urdu speakers, at 11.42% are Pashto, and 7.22% Sindhi.

Don't pull things out of your rear side..

beta 1998 census? have you ever thought how big karachi has become since then?

there are already more pathans in karachi then peshawar, im more than sure there are now more punjabis in karachi than lahore because punjabi ratio in karachi has out grown since 1998 esp when karachi saw good times during MQM era and the city developed and attracted lots of punjabi workers to share our economy

in my area punjabis alone are more than mohajirs even my barber was punjab, dodh waala was from punjabi, our servants were punjabi, we have more punjabi interaction today as compared to mohajirs, flats filled with punjabi immigrants

i don't think you guys have such interaction with mohajirs in lahore

:woot:
Same is the situation in Lahore, very little local lahoris go in police department. But the thing is, we never cared about such things like you guys..

i dont know about lahore but having LEA who spoke a diferent language & different cultural do not understand the demographics and local dynamics .. no wonder we have such a huge law enforcement issue

.
Talk with facts than just saying MAYBE !!!! I am not saying punjabi are more welcoming ppl or better ppl. I am saying that ppl move here from other part of country never gets problem as we se in Karachi.

Karachi is controlled by terrorist mqm, hence the issues

Many thousands of families have migrated from Karachi / Hyderabad to Lahore due to terrorism by MQM, Taliban and others... that is why rent and property rates have gone up by 25-35% in Lahore. and you clearly hit by people speaking different accents on malls and other shopping centres !

Mainly the FAULT of Altaf Hussain who demonized Mujahirs in Karachi....while Punjabis are the most welcoming anyways!!!

As long as Muhajirs live in peace and according to law of land of Punjab..NO COMPLAINTS ever!!

This is certainly true, although I don't want to say it but I still will Punjabis are way more welcoming than any other ethnicity, I hear this crap all the time when Punjabis visit to KPK, Balouchistan and even Sindh the locals of these mentioned provinces always label them as Punjabis and are not very welcoming but Here in Punjab we never do this.

I think if they will not stop doing this then we should also roll out of stern actions, because enough is enough. Every province provides an equal share and all should be respected and all should be considered Pakistanis. But if they want to play this game then be our guest. We have a huge influx of Pathans who work in Punjab, we never complained they are taking our jobs but they often moan and bitch about Punjabis.

Sad but true.

Punjabis have been always welcoming and one other thing is that Punjabis are not very arrogant on being Punjabi on ethnic bases so they welcome every one and also they start marrying in other communities like Pathan Sindhi Balochi and Kashmirs so now they are a mixture

You need some reality check, there is no punjabism in punjab due to serious caste differences, a jatt does not see an arain as a kin, a gujjar does not see a rajput as his kin despite speaking the same language. Go visit some villages in the heartland of punjab such as gujranwala or gujrat. People living in punjab (call them punjabi due to linguistic reasons) have their own caste based organizations and even hospitals and other charities. There is jatt ittehad, arain association, or rajput ittehad and so on. All of them exist all over punjab but you will never find a punjabi ittehad or something like that.

The point is very simple punjabis of different castes don't feel connected to each other on racial basis but rather only on linguistic and geographical basis. And it is wrong to presume that punjabis of different castes intermarry , this is not true for any area outside perhaps lahore or some other big cities, all castes in punjab marry only within their own caste due to racial sensitivities. Every new group that arrives in punjab becomes a new caste and follows the rules of the punjabi society, all the tribes such as arain, jatt, gujjars and rajputs have mostly come out of punjab from different areas and settled in various parts of punjab within the last thousand years. Kashmiri , pathan and balochs living in punjab are as much punjabi as any jatt, gujjar, arain or rajput because all of them are migrants from other areas , the difference is only of time scale, however all these groups were always living in geographically closer areas to punjab and hence there were significant cultural and liguistic overlaps between them which helped them assimilate in the existing populations of punjab.

Contrary to popular view most of the paksitani punjab was historically a forested area and only few settlements existed there in the last thousand years, it was only scarcely populated. The major population booms in this part of punjab (west punjab) occured during mughal times (just 500 years ago) and particularly later during british times (150 years ago) when most of the numerous clans within tribes like jatts, gujjars, arain and rajput etc. were settled in newly created agricultural colonies. Some of them came from east punjab (which was more anciently inhabited) , sindh, rajashtan and indian gujarat province all of which are geographically very close to pakistani punjab. This is the main reason why a jatt does not feel any racial connection with arains, gujjars or rajputs and vice versa because they had just settled in their current locations exactly the same way as the kashmiris, pathans, balochs or syeds from iran and centra asia have done in later times.

Sir even caste system is almost non existent specially in big cities and now in villages too it has reduced a lot 20 years back it used to be there but it is getting lesser and lesser by every passing day

Let me shed some light on it for you and others

"" Punjabis will understand when majority of policemen and other law enforcement in punjab are people from lalu khet .. golimar .. orangi town .. kati pahari .. landhi ... korangi (karachi ) or lasbela .. bolan .. gawadar .. khuzdar .. turbat .. lorlai .. mustang ( Baluchistan) or people of KPK and sindh are deployed to police populations which are ethinic punjabis ...
all the welcoming behavior will go down the drain ..

O Mr out of 18 crore 10 crore are Punjabi so they are obviously more in numbers in all areas and jobs than other ethnic backgrounds but Punjabi don't hate other ethnic groups they are most welcoming people and they are deployed every where because you need a force not ethnic mafias that Urdu speaking areas should have only urdu speaking police officers and Sindhi areas should have only Sindhi Police guys this is not going to happen every where there will be a mixture problem with MQM jokers is they try to gain vote on Gun Point mostly trying to play ethnic card Many in Punjab are from other provinces in fact for many years Lahore CPO was a Mengal no body made it a issue in fact I never knew one day when a channel told his complete name than I knew he is from Baluchistan

Punjabis and ''Muhajir'' are all people and we are all Pakistanis. Some are good and some are bad. Punjabis generally are very welcoming people and are very very friendly and jolly people. But the problem is the Establishment which happen to be mostly made up of Punjabis. Because of their mistakes average Punjabi gets the blame of being racist and looting resources of smaller provinces. And on top of that we have political parties which play the ethnic card over and over again.
