In Denmark a friend told they are fasting about 20 hours wondering what would happen in case of northern Sweden. Chances are 50/50 either it can be very long or very shortAl Jazeera wrote an article on this.

Follow thy neighbour where the sun does touch twilight...but in this case, in Helsinki (Southern tip of the same country) the sun does touch twilight after 20 + hrs...My colleagues fast for almost 20 + hrs...Al Jazeera wrote an article on this.
Hard to do Ramadan in Sweden. lol
They would do it with other countries. Like 13-16 hours break from food/water etc..and then open your fast even if the sun is up.
Sweden had it good on too when Fasting fell in Ramadan, then they had 6 hrs or even less for Northern Sweden!20 hours is crazy man! Cut it back to 16-17 hours etc. :/
As Islamic Civilization/Islamic people reach to the farthest ends of the planet, Muslim Scholars have to think about these issues.
Muslims in Austrailia have it good! On 12 hours of fasting or so

lolz yea..Norther Norway would be another example....Many in Canada are fasting 19hrs so adding 1-2 hrs more to that basically...We count twilight not really sun set or sunrise...holy crap .. same for places where the sun comes for short amount of time?
