A huge chunk just stopped being Hindus is what happened. They turned atheists. It was not just I do not believe in god atheists which traditionally Hinduism had a lot of, it was I will desecrate everything Hindu kind of atheists. Not all. There are still staunch Hindus there and now even reverse trend of going back to being Hindus happening there.

By the time the term ends, they would have been dealt with.
So they're along the line of anti-theists? I haven't heard of any violence or such desecration from their side, do you consider simply eating beef to be desecration?

Bringing people back to religion is fine, but what is 'dealt with' supposed to imply (when referring to the Leftists)?

Not meant to be an argument or rhetoric, just normal questions.

Most bengalis are communal* - as I saw in real life. As opposed to the rest of India, Muslim and Hindu populations live in completely mutually exclusive areas in Bengal. True, it's same all over India to an extent, but not as pronounced as in West Bengal....at least in the few cities I had been.
*Only the exterior is secular.

I would not depend on that. Going by the evidence in front of me, Bengalis are the most secular folks in India.

Hardly possible considering the reach of Christian missionary schools. It played a part but the revolutionary fervor was the driving force - that built the composite (lack of) culture.

LOL.

Minorities run 3340 schools in the state, the entire Hindu are in possession of just 194 schools.

Muslim and Christian communities manage 223 arts and science colleges whereas all Hindu together manage only 42 colleges (vide ‘Matrubhumi’ daily, September 28, 2002).

Out of the 433 professional colleges, only 86 are government-owned, 89 are Hindu-managed while 258 are managed by the minorities.

All Govt. colleges are managed by minorities or by communists who encouraged introducing beef in hostels too.

In a state that is 100% literate, it meant EVERY Hindu child went to a hostel where beef was served and peer pressure and inner rebel forced them onto beef.

What field? I mean what is nature of your job? If you ask me better complete your studies first and if you are doing financially well :)

My best wishes for whatever decision you make
A Senior Functional Consultant... in an MNC now...
Rapid promotions are a bad thing...suddenly woke up to the fact that life is running away. Age, though a number, is like entropy. It never goes back. :( So will get back to do what I wanted all along - research.

Thanks a lot and God bless you too. Best wishes in your endeavors too. :)

That would be strange because Aryabhatta was in Kusumpura and not in Nalana and there is no recorded evidence of any scholarly work that criticise Aryabhata.

Strawman. Irrelevant noise.

You want to tag me, quote me.

and that logical argument extended to banning islam too.

The only alternative to that is vigilante justice.

AFAIK Aryabhattapassed the toughest entrance exam of Nalanda university and he was in the top that in only three selected bybthe council.

The hard exterior secular crust is very strong. The guy who ratified this very beef ban.... guess who he is? And where is he from? :D

They were not anti-theists. They were just anti-Hindu. They provided ample space to Christians and Muslims. It is rare to see a new temple built in Kerala in the last 60 years. While in the same time hundreds of thousands of churches and mosques have come up. Yes beef eating was desecration. It went further than that where Hindus were humiliated in the initial phases. In Tamil Nadu Brahmins were beaten and driven away from the state. In Kerala it was mainly abuse. Throughout its independent history, Kerala had a minority as Education Minister. So their hatred of Hinduism goes rather deep.

this time it's BJP in Bengal , it looks like. And if beef ban comes there, it will lead to communal violence for sure.

UNHOLY!

Can you quote me some references pronto? Only two of my recommendations have been implemented but this is something that has piqued my interest...

He studied at kusumpura and later taught there. Him being in Nalanda is pure speculation since Kusumpura was also in Patna, same as Nalanda.

Oh that was a reference to UPA, which is a conglomerate of different secular parties. They are losing everywhere and they would not be much of a political force is what I meant by dealt with.

But I would love to support congress , once if ever Priyanka plays the leading role. The last shehzadi :D

Please do not scare me. We had enough of shehezada and Shehezadis. Electing Priyanka would just ensure the way is clear for Rihan and Miraya to play the role of future Shehzada/di.

don't worry, because of lutera(vadera) she will not be made to represent.

Beef became popular in Kerala post independence, following the left liberal movement that challenged the higher caste social system. But from then on, the means became the end and Kerala is now a backwater. Secular, liberal and literate - but with no jobs.

you are wrong. Malayalees ate beef for a long time. you don't know anything about kerala, stop spreading falsehood.
