Why is Nawaz Sharif Lying?
10414473_1457341011202352_4272439415355260416_n.jpg

Why Nawaz Sharif is lying? - PM Nawaz was compelled to do this U-Turn on the floor of the Parliament because his assumption of Army intervention quickly succeeding into browbeating Imran Khan backfired and sharp criticism from other political allies like PPP, JI and media made him realize that his chess move has further isolated him. But by doing this flip flop Nawaz has seriously jeopardized Armed Forces position forcing them now to do something to save his politics and blunders. But how will Armed Forces do it without alienating the other side and its own officer corps? This is why Nawaz's flip flop was very selfish.

PM Nawaz felt cornered after Lahore Police was compelled to register FIR for Model Town Murders. Though till now Punjab Police is trying to water down the FIR by playing with its various sections but somehow in Sharif family's mind this FIR is a huge red herring. Requesting Military Chief to intervene to help was to end the deadlock, reduce risks inherent for the family and find ways to defeat demands for Prime Minister's resignation.

The central assumption was that military will not only have a strong influence upon Dr. Qadri but also Imran Khan. This fatal assumption existed because in its under-siege mentality PMLN leadership has become a victim of their own propaganda and disinformation. We continuously hear that people are even being paid for systematic disinformation and changing public debate. But the Risks of this media investment strategy are that PMLN fails to read and grasp the nature and direction of political change. They assume that once military comes in and shows its strong dislike or muscle to Imran Khan and PTI then all the protests will just disappear and Cinderella and her Prince Handsome will live happily ever after. This is flawed.

There are elements of truth in PMLN's calculation (hinted several times by PMLN leaders and even PM during his meeting with media) that Military Establishment may have played a role in orchestrating these protests. But even if it is true this political movement has assumed its own dynamics and unlike Dr. Qadri who commands a cult following that listens to him, Imran Khan represents a conglomeration of political and civic interests from urban middle classes who question all his decisions so it is not possible for Imran Khan to suddenly make decisions that can not be sold to this motely urban middle class intelligentsia.

The assumption of PMLN and many in the media was (see their tweets & comments and discussions last night) that Imran will be demolished after one hearing with the military chief. But Imran's polite but defiant statement after 1am proved that wrong and immediately the emergent reality made Nawaz totally isolated and cornered. Because Nawaz had not neither consulted his allies nor his party or cabinet before involving military and tongues of his allies - PPP & JI - were lashing. And due to Imran Khan's defiant response the chess move had back-fired throwing PM fate onto the military's judgment. Nawaz should have remained silent or could have at least spoken diplomatically the way Nisar did - by making it a generalized PTI demand - but he was so guilty and under pressure that he lied plainly to restore his position. The assumption once again is that fierce disinformation and rhetoric by friendly or bought over sections of media will help create enough confusion to wriggle out of this fiasco or the ISPR can be forced to say something that shifts the blame to Imran or Qadri duo. But the damage has been done; There is a massive circumstantial evidence of the last 14-15 hours that proves beyond doubt that this initiative came from PM Nawaz - and was not necessarily an insincere initiative however flawed its assumptions were.

Now Military has been placed in a very awkward position. If they try to rescue Nawaz from his lies then they risk alienating the crowds on the streets and also the rank and file of the military officers who will read this as overt politics by the Chief and is generals in favor of Nawaz Sharif. The best option for the military will be to keep their mouth shut and assess how to mediate and what options exist for a solution without blaming either side. Can Shahbaz resignation and the credible Election Audit Mechanism being offered by Nawaz be given strong genuine military supervision for all constituencies wherever strong suspicions exist of electoral fraud and rigging. Statistical models can be developed that can prove organized rigging. The only goal can be to save PM Nawaz from a possible resignation. (I don't support Nawaz's resignation)

The continuing protests by PAT and PTI are essentially about two major wrongdoings by the Nawaz government. First is Model Town Massacre conducted by the Punjab police under Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in which over 100 innocent men and women Sufi devotees were brutally gunned down or sent to the hospital in critical condition. Second is lie about army statement by Nawaz & ch Nisar. It is only the arrogance and betrayal of the murderous PML N regime that has brought the situation to such as impasse .Democracy in Pakistan is not being derailed due to an imaginary script written at GHQ. Democracy has been derailed by overly hyped cowards and liars like Nawaz Sharif and his collection of cronies, including the PPP.

Some critics argue that since 5 out of 6 demands of PTI are accepted, why this hype, why can't they just declare victory and go home. The reason for this plain and simple: No one trust this Noora crap of filing fake or incomplete FIRs and blatantly lying in the Parliament about COAS role in negotiations. These goons can no longer be trusted, not even by COAS anymore.

Now PML(N) is saying that ISPR has actually endorsed their views by using word "facilitative" which government approved, but IK used the word "mediation" and "guarantee" which was wrong.

LMAO.

I wonder how @orangzaib and @AdeelFaheem justify such blatant lies of PML(N)

The Army holds all the aces. Its position remains strongly in control without any awkwardness. It has all the politicians exactly where it wants them - weak, and at each others' throats, and everybody knows who is really in charge without any overt action. Perfect. Brilliant. And bad.

Before I say anything, I'd like to know how many of you actually hold law degrees from an English speaking country (no offense intended). The reason I asked this, is because what I am about to explain, is (1) Legal Language (2) Requires Prior Knowledge of Dealing with a Legal System, so the language and the meanings are clear.

For the record and through my contacts, here is what I know. IK and Mullah decided to call up the Military and requested a meeting. The COAS's office knowing the situation, called the Interior Minister as he's ultimately responsible for internal country decision making. He then authorize the meeting and told the COAS that he should use his positive influence to tell these guys to drop it and get some face saving so people including women and children can go home. That was it. There wasn't more to it. However, before the COAS could get to the PM or the Interior Minister as these meetings happened very late at night, both the Mullah and IK came out and threw fiery speeches as if they reached a deal independently.

They were just trying to cause confusion between the Military, the Civilian government and its allied parties who don't want military's intervention. It worked for a few hours but then PM clarified, the Interior Minister clarified and the ISPRS clarified. ALL three said the SAME thing.

By the way, your Mullah is MAD as hell right now. He's been trying to call the Interior Minister, the Military and a few others in PPP and PMLN. NO ONE is picking up his calls. So he's getting his blood pressure high and getting pissed but its useless. Love it. He wants to go home and wants face saving. Two idiots who damaged their country with over 4 Trillion in economic losses. These guys deserve a LOT of jail time.

Both of these idiots haven't issued "THREATS and DEADLINES" today. I guess the air has indeed burst. Now they want to go home as their drama didn't work. SAD losers!

Now whoever wants to understand the legal description of the communication and terms being used by the PM, the IM and the Military, hit me up and I'll gladly explain.

Simple because NS is a liar, not the first time he has done it nor will it be the last.

And the Mullah and IK are reading verses from the Bible (the Quran in Pakistan's case) the entire time right??? Nothing ever came out of their mouth that was a lie, God forbid.

The father of liars is IK. After Hitler's media campaign, this is the worst campaign I've seen on pure lying. ZERO progress, plus 4 Trillion of economic loss to the country = IK + his cousin Mullah and they still want body bags. But no one now cares, they take two steps forward, they'll deal with the military. Time to pack the bags and either leave with Face Saving (and acting like "we won" when NOT) or double cuz of the military's boot up their as*ses soon! This pure drama is ending today or tomorrow. So sad and economic destruction for such a poor country!

Aero - let it go. Propaganda and truth are two very different things. The first one works for the time being and the later one remains a part of the history.

IK and Mullah called the COAS to meet to cause confusion and to cut a direct deal with the military. Didn't fly, all three parties (PM, IM and ISPR) explained the next morning. Because these meetings happened so late at night, the COAS didn't get to the PM and IM in time, but Mullah and IK used the timing to their advantage and threw fiery speeches after the COAS left. And gave out the impression that they had cut a direct deal. Later on, all parties explained their side and life moved on.
Your buddy Mullah has been calling the Interior Minister and a few other senior folks for 8 hours now. They haven't responded to ONE of his calls and are NOT picking up (meaning fu*ck off :) ). The mullah is getting nervous by the hour as he and IK want to go home now. All hell didn't break lose, no COAS wants to get into this nasty dirty mess of 20K people.

Military is a respectful and honorable institute and the COAS is a good guy. He doesn't wan to get the military's name dirty with these lying politician. So he ain't cutting a deal directly. Its a mess that the civilian government has to clean up. However, he's made it VERY CLEAR to IK and Mullah that the second they step on the boundaries of any of these State of Pakistan's buildings, their asses will deal with the military as its the military's responsibility to safeguard these assets.
Due to THIS very message, they haven't issued any DEADLINE of destroying this or that today.

The bubble has burst, the air is out, the HIGH's of Bi Polar disease are going away as it is starting September and by October-ish, these patients go into Lows or Depression. So this is over. Everyone can go home and relax now!

Mooed Pirzada was forced out of Express News by the likes of civilian dictator Noora Sharif. Salute you for your courage and your fight for the freedom of free speech.

And now Moeed Pirzada is on Number 1 Channel ARY.

These PMLN clowns are the worst Dictators.

On Topic, Nawaz didn't expect such strong reaction from his partners and when faced with criticism for relying on Army, he choose to lie on the floor of National Assembly.
