What's new

Why Indians generally hate Aam Aadmi Party and Kejriwal?

.
He has an explaining to do if he truly believes in democracy why riots happened and its aftermath during his tenure.

Not him but his brother who still is CM of Punjab.
What explaining? Did anyone ask for explaining before convicting him directly without listening to an explaination? ITs politics u see and people understand everything. His explainiation has paid and hes today the PM of 1.25 bn people with one of the largest mandate till date.

What Explaination? Do u really think people want some explaination of a riot 13 yrs back ignoring 1000s of riots in other northern states of India ?

It's a similar problem like in Pakistan. India is dealing with immense corruption and a plethora of other issues that need to be addressed. Although, many Indians who are sitting on a high horse will deny this. The old crooked status quo has been in force for a very long time and don't want to lose their power. They are using every ploy to defame AAP. AAP was just recently formed. Their vision is generally noble and good for the poor people of India. The critics who are cynical towards AAP are part or benefit directly/indirectly from the status quo.

I'm very glad that the masses in Delhi have spoke out against the corrupt status quo. Pakistanis should take a leaf. The people in Delhi deserve credit and praise.

This argument is always presented by people who have full stomach, this is same as saying if you cant afford bread why dont you buy a cake. People with half full stomach dont think that far, in their views by the time Modi gets around to providing us jobs we will die of hunger.
Dont patronize me.

On serious note, before MNAREGA NAREGA and food security bill people were dying? And after passing these subsidy people stop dying?

Thats the most bullshit argument bro. Jus to save the face of Govt. for there incompetence and grabbing a vote bank.

i dont think so that indian hates AAP the reason for the win of bjp was that AAP is not organized at the national level in all the cities like congress and BJP, but having said that AAP is well organized in DELHI that is why the won election there, they would prepare to organize their party in whole india i think in next 2 years and they would have better chances than congress ..
To me the only opposition left in india is AAP as congress is no more effective ...

AAP stronghold is Delhi, they are not very powerful on national level.

Any party which has agenda of progress and development, fighting inflation will and can convince people will get their votes- national or state level.

We dont hate him. We simply dont trust his socialists ideology. India is a hughely than huge populated country. To give good lives to people we not only need corruptionfree country but also simultaneous growth to the nation. Socialism as a theory dont talk bout growth but equal distribution. We can never bring poor out of poverty till we dont have double digit growth.

We believe in Modi coz hes not corrupt. We believe in Modi coz hes pro development and growth. We believe in Modi coz he believes in job creation.

Now this election result of delhi is a mandate against Congress and in favor of AAP and this is proved by the shift in vote percentages. BJP vote is entact. All congress vote went to AAP.

Now point is, why BJP vote didnt increase? Its coz of their local leadership. All the State elections fought in Modi's name were successful only where there was no notable state leadership. So people had no notions bout them and hence voted for BJP in Modi's name.

In Delhi, BJP leaders are very infamous. In 2013 they won on Modi wave, not on the credability of their work.

Some reason, BJP shifted its strategy in last moments but fact remains that people were determined to not vote BJP.

Again, its a lesson for u. Democracy in India is federal in nature. National issues are different from local issues. People of this country still love and trust Modi but his local leaders had earned so much infame in their name that even Modi wasnt able to do anything, that too against a party like AAP who gave an alternative to Congress.

Agreed with bolded part...................................

I'd rather have a leader that says SORRY WITH FOLDED HANDS than someone who takes money from Ambanis and doesn't declare it.

He folded hands to get another chance for himself. And Left perties like CPM are resonably clean even after being in power for many years in multiple states, why don't you support them? Kejriwal is ultra left. And let's see how long they remain 'clean', already there are doubts about their dealings.

I'm sure taking money from Ambani, Ghar Wapsi, 70% PDS sold in open market, appointing rapist as union minister etc. is 'sound' governance.

The AAP guy who has defeated Kiran Bedi was a RSS sympathizer, another AAP guy was just caught in a illegal liquor case or something like that. Three years back there was another honest party, TMC in Bengal.

The amount of traffic this thread is gaining from PDF's Indian members, I am starting to wonder if BJP agents have infiltrated our beloved PDF :D

Congress did badly both in governance and corruption, most of the regional parties are equally worthless, Left parties have ruined a few states, AAP is more left than the left themselves, BJP governed states are doing better, now tell me.

He has an explaining to do if he truly believes in democracy why riots happened and its aftermath during his tenure.

Riots happened as the direct and immidiate reaction of Godhra, rogue organizations like Pravin Togadia's VHP and Bajrang Dal fueled it, after the riots Modi almost banished Togadia from Gujrat, they still share a bitter relationship. But Congress was very successful in branding Modi as the main culprit.

Let Kejriwal complete his tenure with supermajority and then we'll see :)

Nothing to see here, we have already seen his kind of politics in Bengal during the first two decades under CPM rule and then under TMC rule.

Nope that's an urban legend/ BJP myth. There was a move to give ADvani a PM position but that conflict was nowhere close to being in a place where RSS would cease support. Parmod Mahajan was put in charge of campaign and he led the disastrous shining india campaign that alienated the voters (along with rising communal tension). The end result, BJP was decalred misaligned with people's priorities and booted out. The idea that BJP/ RSS cadres can achieve anything is a big baloney that BJP is trying to spread. When there is a determined way against them, they are easily thrown out of office. Remember it is the congress that has ruled India for much of Indian history, not BJP. BJP is not even a kid in the long historical space we are talking about. Modi's rise gives you that false feeling. That's driven heavily by anti-incumbency.

BJP emerged as the single largest party in 2004 election, they lost out to Congress in coalition politics.

I had big hopes from Kejriwal and his new thought about changing Delhi to a clean state, but apparently, his party has already started taking grossly wrong steps by pointing their guns at the PM.

Look at the IF condition.

You'll understand.

Good find. :)

My concern is not Delhi, I am worried that AAP will start a new race of populist politics among other political parties, all will start doling out freebies to survive, economy will be the ultimate sufferer.

You're just DIssing and Trash talking to hold on to your pre-conception. Even if a guy does good and accepts his mistakes there will be people to malign him. You're prerogative and not our problem. This discussion and recycling of BJP propaganda is pointless- he has demolished the BJP in delhi. The Die is cast.

Actually yes. A similar president called Nixon who was famous for landslide re-elections was booted out of power for the simple crime of bugging his rivals. Someone like Modi would never have been allowed to become President there. US Presidents are allowed to screw the rest of the world as much as they want but corruption and internal rioting or crime is an absolute no. If we want to become a great nation, we need to be as hardnosed about this as they are.

Yeah for example, here is some info on AAP's current spokesperson:

  • Atishi Marlena's parents Vijay Kumar Singh (Forum for Democratic Struggle, Delhi University) and Tripta Wahi (Former History Professor at Hindu College & Reader at Delhi University) are avowed Marxists and her surname 'Marlena' was derived by her parents from Marx and Lenin.

  • Following is Tripta Wahi's mercy petition for terrorist Afzal Guru to President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam in 2006 after the Supreme Court of India had awarded him capital punishment.
What Does Mohammad Afzal Know? | Ali Javed, Tripta Wahi, The Committee for Inquiry on December 13

  • Then both her parents signed a letter to President Pranab Mukherjee in 2013, crying about Afzal Guru's mercy petition being rejected by him.
' We Believe That You Made A Grave Error In Rejecting The Mercy Petition' | Jamia Teachers' Solidarity Association, et al

  • Tripta Wahi also helped in raising money for 2001 Parliament attack accused SAR Gilani and her colleagues disclosed that at the time of the Kargil war, Ms Wahi had refused to donate money for the soldiers killed or maimed in the conflict. "Why do we need to pay them? These soldiers are paid to die," Ms Wahi had allegedly remarked, as per a report that appeared in the Hindustan Times on January 2, 2002.

Next time you hear Atishi Marlena talking about 'Paanch Saal Kejriwal' and 'Tahrir Square in India' when representing AAP on TV then you know where she's coming from.

  • What does Atishi Marlena's terrorist sympathizing mother Tripta Wahi got to do with AAP? Well, she's in the Gender Justice committee and the Manifesto Committee of AAP headed by Yogendra Yadav.

U didnt make an ounce of sense here when u say Middle class will stagnate. Wass da mathematical logic? With continous growth the trickle down effect only better lives of below the pyramid. Now how faster it trickles down completely relies on the govt policies and regulations.

U see, everywhere its the govt that has the key to things.. IT all depends how proffesional and so called KAABIL people we have in our govt setup including bueraucracy. The capitalists will always be the dependent force. Its on govt to establish laws and policies to control the capitalist. U see black in Capitalism because the govt corruption has allowed them to do so.
I meant that the growth of middle class with stop beyond a point. It is simple logic if you understand the repercussions of rich people having much higher probability of earning more money and faster. Add this to growing income inequality.
You should read more about trickle down economics. The public discourse in USA has gone through stages we are seeing today in India. And there trickle down theory is used a stub for comedy, like zero-loss theory. The only people that talk about trickle down theory are people like Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Rick Perry and such genius people. It is all but a discredited theory, kept alive only for the fun value in comedy new shows. To give a sense of it, the people who believe in trickle down are usually those who call climate change as hoax and abortion clinics as threat to right of life.

some time you don't take the words in their literal meaning, no one is dying of hunger these days not even in Africa. Please dont get patronized if someone presents a different view point.

IF you have a job you can have a full stomach and much more. Subsidy raj has destroyed every state. There is no successfull model for socialism anywhere in the planet. Now we have Jihadis,Commies and Anti Nationals all under one roof

we dont even have a pure capitalist model anywhere in the word, even in the US millions are on social welfare. You cant depress the depressed just because some people have an idealistic modal in their mind.

. .
MOdi govt. isn't pure capitalistic but AAP so far seems ultra socialist

money system must be eradicated... why should humans die of hunger because of lack of money while governments happily buy western armaments??

everything should be for free as long as the socialist credos are followed... credos like "one who produces, can consume"... that is naturality... capitalism is against nature.
