Why India will always remain the underdog.

Let quit comparing ourselves with India - we wish the Indians the best - our & chinese focus should be on comparing ourselves with France and Germany and Sweden and others...& china to USA etc

Wow, delusional much??

How does a 10th failed state compare to anyone other than the 9 others that are a bit more deprived then itself?

.
India will always be the underdog as it's always been compared to nations like Somalia, Ethiopia, Niger, Etc. So when India tries to join the Big Boy League after 10 odd years of economic bubble, the rest of the world laughs at it.

India is basically another failed state.

China’s Choice: India or Pakistan? | The Diplomat

LoL. India is a dysfunctional country who chooses Prime Minister Modi, who can not produce children, speaks alot about 1.4 billion Indians electing 'impotent' Prime Minister.

India has separatist movements outnumber any separatist, independence and extremist struggle in the whole world.

Arunachal Pradesh, Assam separatist movements, Maoists Naxalities movement in over 40% part of India, Manipur independence struggle, Mizoram secessionist movement led by the Mizo National Front, Nagaland's proposed state of Nagalim or People's Republic of Nagaland, the most important Jammu and Kashmir region, Khalistan movement in Punjab, Tripura, and all these below:
  • Bengal Liberation Army — Organisation struggling for the secession of West Bengal from the Indian Union and uniting it with Bangladesh, formerly known as East Bengal province of India.
  • Maratha Rashtra Parishad — Advocating the restoration of Shivaji's 18th-century Maratha Empire.
  • Sikkim National Party is a political party in Sikkim, Formed in 1950. National Party was in favour of the monarchy and advocated independence for Sikkim.
  • Tamil Nadu Liberation Army is demanding a separate Tamil Nadu
Do you want me to say more, India can never be on par with Pakistan/China, to weak, too coward and to internally destable....basically Failed State.

Arunachal Pradesh- No insurgency
Assam- All insurgent groups laid down their arms...apart from few..who earns their bread and butter with extortion and has no interest in independence whatsoever....
Nagaland-NSCN-Khaplang and Ichak Muiwa...both groups are on tables for negotiation, no serious incidents for years now.
Khalistan- Bu ha ha ha ha
Tripura - No more groups...almost all surrendered or in hiding
J&K- In 5-10 years situation will be sorted out.
Coming to the next three stupid groups of Sikkim ,TN and Maharashtra...nobody in India knows them neither do anybody cares...in other words they are basically NOBODY.
Stop worrying about India and first save your a*$e from TTP and ISIS....

The worry is the Indian break-up due to these insurgencies, and separatist movements in India, and the fallout on neighboring countries.

Pakistan has taken serious actions against TTP and is currently conducting successful large scale operations in North Waziristan under Zarb-e-Azab and Khyber-I.

As denied by our Interior Minister, there is no such thing as ISIS in Pakistan.

It hasn't happened since 1948...but Pakistan did break up once in 1971....and you know what history repeats itself.

India hasn't even tapped manufacturing yet but its approach to do so should learn from China's mistakes. Why? Environmental concerns. If India is smart , it will look at the pollution caused by such manufacturing enterprises as an opportunity.

There are are core areas that India needs to invest, increase, continually improve, etc. Education is a key factor along with accessibility to free wifi and tablets that eliminates the need for solid textbooks and other $$ factors.

Water is an obvious security concern where India may feel serious pressure from a foreign country. This would be a great step to unify South Asia on a common goal that affects everyone. Get everyone on board towards a mechanism that guides all nations involved in tackling climate changes and environmental concerns such as water. India has a huge coastline but there is very little use of desalination plants. Pump more research to make water creation, filtration , saving tech.

India being the largest source of remittances needs to harness or offer better services. Public-private partnerships ould use the cash to fund research for public concerns and problems. With efficient accounting practices (think CAG), public input could be used to help provide input and steer progress to some degree. However, this needs a population who has access to wifi enabled tablets. This simple convenient techw would change every household in India and help us to close any gap.

Modi is going to have to streamline and make democracy quick and effective. No question, India is quite lucky to finally have a capable leader who can deliver results.

Sometimes, we need to stop thinking in a completely capitialist approach. We need to tackle challenges head on. Deforestation is a big issue, so the gov't should encourage, educate and convicne ppl to grow trees wherever they can.

I thinkwe should start a thread that points every single problem in India, then we can pick it apart and try to provide solutions.
