Why Imran khan making Raheel Sharif controversial?

I think after 68 years, for the first time, everyone knows their role and how to use it. During the 5 years of the PPP government, everyone from the media, courts, military, parliaments and the opposition were jostling for their positions and now it feels like everyone has found their comfort zones. I always felt that the army never wants to mingle with politics but somehow the politicians directly or indirectly keep dragging them in.

.
If corruption kay master PMLN can put pictures of Quaid-e-Azam next to their candidates, then why can't others put picture of Pakistan's first patriot General next to their candidates?

On topic: RS's pic means nothing, it just shows that a certain political party agrees with clean up going on in the country.

All or most parties are doing it as a symbol to show that they concur with the direction of the military on a number of issues especially the fight against the terrorists. PTI candidates feel it more so as their party has come under fire for their past stands.

How can PTI laud killing of terrorists and putting pictures of the #1 nightmare for these militants when they were the ones that held off on these operations for the longest time under the garb of peace talks? I think they are patting him on the back for his anti corruption drive rather than the thousands of dead rebels foreign and domestic.

Very true

Raheel sharif doing army accountability. Just today Chief justice also started judges accountability (supreme court only though I think). There is somewhat lack of accountability of politicians (still better than before), but media does a great job at it.

The only accountability that lacks is for media however. As we can see PEMRA is failed (i think it's still without chief?) and we saw how Geo was after ISI and how ARY anchors loves "Sethi 35 puncture tape" but can't produce it (they should have internal accountability).

But Imran khan is setting a dangerous precedence. Imagine if Raheel sharif (he won't ask) is not given an extension. Imran will play politics on it. Even if he doesn't ask for extension, people will still think Nawaz didn't give it.

A COAS is made by army, army isn't made by COAS. To continue to have competent COAS, we need make army strong, not one man strong.

Wrong both legally and morally.

Legally as far as I know a Public Servant especially an Army officer cannot have political affiliations, it is even against the Oath they take as young cadets in their passing out Parade. For once if we have seen a change in their attitude let us maintain it that way, no need to drag them everywhere and then after a decade complain oh not our fault we were under rule of a dictator.

Morally, PTI should not try taking credit for someone else's actions and decisions, they claim KPK has been turned into a heaven, then why not use that for their election campaigns, or like in many other matters, IK's childish immature mentality is still incapable of anticipating consequences of actions he takes?

And please I am no Noonie / Pedo / Patwari.

Karachi loves Raheel. So if the picture is for Sindh canidate, it makes sense for PTI.
