Afghanistan was never a peaceful, progressive place. This region is a war torn place for thousands of years. This country will never see peace or positive development.
@Areesh @Path-Finder seems like the Afghan Hindi Bhai bhai boat got some cracks in it , One after another Bollywood is trying to portray Muslims as barbaric Invaders while Hindu kingdoms to be more civilized and humane , How funny is that now Bollywood actors are actively taking part in this anti Muslim rhetoric openly, One after another Indian Actors and artists are coming out of their Liberal or secular cover to show their hate towards a specific kind of people . Just in recent times they specifically Target Afghans and their Historical Figures , Movies such as Padvaati ( based on Fake BS ) , Kesri ( Overly exaggerated ) and now Panipat ( completely distort the History ) and now some Afghans with a little bit self respect is using social media to speak .
Third battle of Panipat was a Pyrrhic victory means though Abdali's army won against the Marathas, they too suffered tremendous casualties. This is the primary reason why Abdali had to retreat back to Afghanistan and could not advance further.Comment from Hikma History:
The Marathas were not saints either. They killed millions of people in Bengal and Northern India and enslaved a lot of people too. I doubt if the Marathas would have won the battle of Panipat they would have also killed millions of Afghan/Pashtun Muslims.Comment from Hikma History:
A lot of blood is shed in battles you can't expect to win without losing your soldiers no has ever won any battle without any loss. The reason Ahmad Shah Baba didn't advance furthure was that he didn't intend to come for invasion it's a false theory to satisfy the egos of disillusioned people he started battle to kick out marathas from his territory, terminate their savagery and to support mughals in Delhi which marathas were intending to take. Ahmad Shah had ample of oppurtunities to take india but he didn't.Third battle of Panipat was a Pyrrhic victory means though Abdali's army won against the Marathas, they too suffered tremendous casualties. However the sad part was that Abdali and his men killed many innocent Maratha men, children and women. Obviously they got their karma on due time when the Sikhs defeated the descendants of Abdali and completely eradicated the Durrani Pashtuns from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhawa.
