No one wants to study Punjabi in schools. Kisi language ko koi threat nhi ha. And if you are from punjab I am 100 percent sure your ancestors never spoke farsi.

You don't know.. Farsi was spoken in every household before British Raj... Also, speaking in English is ok, but Urdu is unacceptable..

Actually, she doesn't have her license or car documents or even the annual tax receipt so as she is caught guilty, had to use every reference starting with Punjabi Language, then Islamic Country reference, Human Rights, Woman Rights and what not merely save her skin and avoid penalty. Yea the thing is that when i went to Peshawar the people there talked with me in pashto , even army soilders were talking with me in pashto.
This is a problem in probably every province.
No need to make a huge mess out of it

These people say some parents speak in Urdu with their kids it means Punjabi is under threat. I think kuch log bachon sa Urdu main boltay Hain takay wo aisi Urdu na bolain.

This is rife in Pakistan.
To the extent that traditionally Punjabi speaking families have converted to speaking gulabi Urdu on a wholesale basis.
On occasion that I visit one of these families I insist that they speak Punjabi when they talk to me. It saves a whole lot of embarrassment, certainly on my part.
I put it down to a wannabee snobbery mentality where Urdu is equated to being educated and of a higher social status.
All a bit sad in my opinion.

From the video it suggests the security inspector asked her to lower her phone ... which she took offence to because she wasn’t offered any sugared donuts...

she may have been recording in an intrusive manner..ie..right in his face..
if this is true... it’s ok to use your phone in a public place ..could this be a public place?
Could recording on your phone be deemed a security risk?

The thing that gets me...is this...female entitlement on steroids.

Arguing with a police officer in a non-muslim western country like that would have resulted in her face planted on the tarmac with knees on her back and hands cuffed. Then thrown in jail for a few hours or a night to demolish that ego of hers!

I believe it is article 10 of Pakistan's constitution which says that nobody can detain someone against their will not even police. They need to have valid reason. If they have valid suspicion then within 24 hours they have to present the person to court of law to get custody of the detainee.


Police should be given body cam.

If you are pulled over for say driving whilst using a phone - and refuse to cooperate with the police. Are they allowed to arrest you? or do they just have to let you go?
