The best F16 ever built is the UAE F16 block 60.

This F16 carries the AESA radar and the bbest AMRAAM 120D version of BVR miisle. It also has the most advanced ecm and elctronic warefare system in service in any FALCON in the world.

its THE LATEST and best F16 THERE IS.

uae BEING A BROTHER islamic country wud not have been an issue had PAF acquired this.

This is the only legacy USA fighter along with F18 s/h aesa EQUIIPED TOO that can go toe to toe against the SU30 MKI (THE BEST FLANKER) in the world.

F16/52 are a big jump from PAFs current 25 year old F16A/B but stil inferior TO INDIA,S BEST SU30 MKI.

i dont think F-16 Nlk 52+ (with conformal fuel Tanks) is inferior to MKI
AMRAAM C5 has better NEZ (true usabale Range of BVR) then R-77 on MKI
F-16 will detect Su-30 first Cjeck the specification of APG-68 V9 radars on our future F-16's
the only thing for Flanker is its range that is not a prob for us if we r gonna fight a defensive war

Blk-60 has AESA true but MKI does no that why do u need to spend extra monet when we r not required to

APG68 radar is inferior to Bars PESA which tracks AT 200KM .

only the AESA equipped F16 block 60 CAN TRACK more and quicker then the RUSSIAN pesa

SU30 mki easily beat Singpores F16/BLOCK 52 IN 2007 excercises.

Same result in 2007 WITH usa f16 &f15... in Cope india.

To date onl;y the Typhoon & latest USA F22 have over killed SU30 MKI

US Never offered block60 to Pakistan because its superior to IAF's future Front line jets. Also, blk60 costs around $60million (excluding weapons, support and training) with small economy of our country, there is no chance of blk60 in PAF's inventory

why f-16 blk 60 1000 times better wo go for refale its very easy to get super then blk60 like j-11b

MKIs have been killed in training sorties by F-15s and 16 alike. No Typhoon or F/A-22 has flown in a training sortie with the SU-30 MKI.

yanks will never offere block 60 to pakistan,
Fully agree, Block 60 was never offered nor is there a chance of getting any in near future.

and our ignorant leaders will never request it
Not sure what you mean by ignorant. Our leaders nor the military think tank is keen to remain dependant on US FMS which are subject to goverments embargo at all times.
Block 60 Falcons are as expensive as the Typhoon or the Rafale, I'd rather see PAF flying those as there are less strings attached to with European consortia.

The Blok 52 purchase is a good one, reducing the order to 36 is even more brilliant as we can divert our funds into FC-20 and possibly J-11B. We've transferred a lot of block 15 and 30 technology into JF-17, whatever we gain from block 52 will be adapted in future versions of the Thunder.

I admire our COAS and military think tank for their efficiency. Considering the financial and political restrictions, imho Pakistan has the best military planning in the world. We've been able to counter almost every system and threat in the region and maintained status quo with our adversaries.

Still think they're ignorant? :coffee:

I have not heard anything on this. If you are referring to Red Flag exercise, there is lot of controversy on this. Do you have any other training sorties on your mind?.

Eurofighters trained with MKI's in Britain not all that long ago, WVR only and most of the simulated fights were 1 on 1. According to people that I have talked to the results were roughly even with an edge to the Eurofighter in these dogfights, LOAL missiles and HMS more than countered for the thrust vector manoeuvring of the MKI's. It would have been interesting to see them in BVR simulated combat but neither side wanted to give away full information about the capabilities of their radars etc.

Sir,

The IAF Su-30 pilots were not authorised to use their new and classified Russian made Tikhomirov Scientific Research Institute of Instrument Design NIIP BARS radar. The Radar's operating frequencies are secret, they feared knowledge of which could enable jamming systems to be developed.
IAF can not use these radars outside Indian Aerospace as per agreement except for conflict zones outside her territory. :coffee:

I believe the Eurofighters were not using their radars either, shame about the MKI's. I imagine it ruined the chances of the people we most likely had trying to get more information for exactly the purposes you mentioned.

Out of interest do you know if they had radars removed for this? I have heard that there is still a bit of signature leakage even when it is off.

Blain would be able to verify that but AFAIK its the (low) frequency they're worried about.

We're getting a lot of military hardware from USA free of charge under the EDA agreement as reward for the WoT. Those deals were struck by previous government and are on schedule.

Zardari and new defence ministers have no role in this, strategy for military purchases upto 2015 have already been worked out and the focus is on 18 new Block 52 F-16C/D + 32 +34 Block 15 and 40 MLU3's, JF-17, FC-20, J-11, Aewacs, IL-78's Tankers additional C-130 medium transport and possibly tankers and a new advance trainer, probably the Czeck L-169.

There's no room nor requirement for Block 60 Falcon.
