Why China isn't bailing out Pakistan Currently?

In 1963. China plastered India in 1962. Kennedy was in White Hosing ringing Ayub every dsay not to attack India in return for sorting out Kashmir issue by diplmatic means. Rather surprised that as a American you don't know the date of Kennedy's demise.

Do you know of any book by politician or leader to be not self serving? That does not mean it has not offer us a insight.

It was foolish on our part not to take advantage of the 1962 Sino-Indian war.

But the Indians cleverly attacked us in the 1971 war, almost ten years later. lol.

China is not a money lending organization. China has done amazingly well economically in the last two three decades but there are still large number of people who are poor and need government assistance to pull them out of poverty. These people are the priority for the Chinese government and not bailing out Pakistan from yet another economic crisis.


There are no free lunches in the world, we need to get off our back sides and actually learn to stand on our own feet. Even small countries like Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand etc have managed it then why not Pakistan?

Seriously? Give me a good reason why China should bail us out? We are here because of the decisions of our leaders, we need to sort out our own mess. Simple.

Alas..if such thinking would have been shared by our educated middle class we wouldnt have seen zardaris and sharifs govt..

I was in 4th grade when nawaz bankrupted pakistan in 1998 and foreign reserves fell to zero and foreign private accounts were freezed instead. When my father explained it to me how loans and imports caused misbalance i had no problem understanding it..yet Phd scholars who support PMLN and PPPP cant get it ...

I don't think Nawaz Sharif will have a chance. He has lost his support now.

Perhaps it could have been easy for India to take East Pakistan, but India would never be able to take a two front war between East and West Pakistan.

I meant a two front war with both East and West Pakistan. East Pakistanis forces could have taken over Assam, while West Pakistan would attack India from the West.

Because they did not have zardari and Sharif brothers to deal with---.

Nopw pakistan can be compared to Nigeria---where the corruption was at the same level---.

And look at Nigeria---they have ample oil to export---but still cannot get out of the muck left behind due to corruption of the extreme level---.

And then what? We would have lost it in 1962 instead of 9 years later. Only differance we had less troops there thus less POW's. Which of these options would have been better?

China will bail out Pakistan provided Imran Khan's Government fully understands and realizes the nature of friendship with Chinese .

Pakistani leadership , current and previous always talk about Iron friendship between Pakistan and China and say slogans like sweeter then honey and higher then Himalayas but never fully benefitted from Chinese advises in terms of strategic , defense and economic fields. We have a habit to go to China when things go wrong and out of our hand , whether they are occasions like wars with India , messing up relations with the US, or our ever present economic woes !

What any Pakistani leadership need to do is form a solid sincere and honest partnership with the Chinese . They should go for deep rooted strategic, defense and economic agreements with the Chinese , securing our own interest as well as Chinese with full frankness and ambiguity . Once they go for such partnership then learn from Chinese and clean up our problems which have been accumulated over decades of bad governance . Involve Chinese and get their advise in making our systems better , learn from them and apply to improve our governance . And dont mess up this relations through corruption , deceit, and involving other countries like US or Saudis without consent of the Chinese !

Chinese will be ready to bail out Pakistan when we are fully ready to understand and accept their bail out package !

My thoughts is that China has been preoccupied with the task of building its economical strength internally through a trial approach. The merit of Chinese system, reflected by the economical achievement, has only been recognized by China itself in the last 5-10 years, which is relatively recent. China has been reluctant to provide advice to its allies due to its non-interference policy, respect of allies’ independence and not fully confidence of its own system.

Pakistan has traditionally been connected with western world a lot more due to historical and racial reasons. It’s elite class has been largely trained in the western institutions. I think it is totally understandable. China’s rise to the point that it can be regarded as a working economical and political model that is competitive to the western model is a very recent thing and takes time for even its closest strategic allies to digest.

I was not abusing or not intentionaly so abusing. I was stating facts and got carried away with language that was perhaps over decorated and too vivid if not not harsh. Sorry to all the Indians but non of that changes the fact that India got a bolloking by the Chinkas. And Pakistan should have used that opportunity to kick them in the nuts.
