lol and who composed this dictionary for you? scholar? layman? :azn:

You guys have no clue what you are talking about. Even if you like S19 consider Quran a simple book of literature but still we rely on teacher to explain literature(urdu/English) :)
OMG. kis mitti ke banhe hue ho!?!?! Dumbsh!t that's a dictionary, you know what a dictionary is? Do you? Wtf does have to do with islamic scholars? You're saying anyone who is compiles an arabic dictionary has to be a scholar? The prophetSAW gave us the Quran IN arabic, he didnt invent arabic.

1.The term "backwardness: defined in the WCC capitalist world does not fit Pakistan or the Ummah. In terms of human character it is they who are backward and are yet to emerge completely from being animals. Let me explain, see the sincere remorse and sympathy among common Pakistanis after the tragedy of the Siachin avalanche. In the WCC they would sit down with the calculator to ascertain loss, insurance gains, etc, etc after a well worded obituary. Take another example. After the devastating earthquake there were some children in the villages who had survived but the parents did not. They were not sent to orphanages, etc. Neighbors or relatives immediately took them into the family. This never happens in WCC.

2. In BD we are getting orphaned children after every cyclone almost every year. The village community/neighbors/relatives take over immediately as enjoined in Islam.

3. Grading people by their material wealth, GDP, etc is erroneous. Ethical / human values are far more important that material achievements.

I guess to an extent yes, but there other problems as-well. Corruption and faulty infrastructure is talking billions from our economy.
Plus, I hope you guys don't mind but I might use some of these in a blog post.

.
biggest reason of our backwardness is the landlord system.
Abolish that and you will open the path of education and development for millions of people.

i have a few things to say..i agree with what the poster in the first thread has said.

one must understand the nature of government, the nature of secularism, and the nature of atheism. these are some terms to be understood.

a government is a political institution, which exists to govern the country, to make roads, rail, make laws so that basic freedoms are ensured, ensure the well being of all citizens, ensure the future of the country, ensure the security of its people etc.

i do not know what part of governance requires religion. one doesnt require religion to build roads, make bridges, raise armies.

therefore there is no need and there should be no religion in government.

atheism is the lack of belief in a creator. like all things it is a higly personal choice, which cannot be labeled as evil or bad. till now no wars have been made in the name of atheism. it seems to be sane.

secularism is the lack of a religious sentiment in public life. it is not lack of religion.

religion is a highly personal opinion. i believe that sex and religion should both be confined to private consumption.

You should stop these emotional rants and should try to understand what others are trying to explain :)

I know what is dictionary but you need to consult the dictionary to know the meaning of word "scholar"

Scholar :
a. A learned person.
b. A specialist in a given branch of knowledge

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Scholars

Please note that i used word scholar(not Islamic scholar) in previous reply and the links of Arabic dictionary you provided in previous post was composed by someone who is a learned person and who has got more knowledge of Arabic than me, you, or any other layman so we need his help to tell us what we don't know. Similarly when it come to translate Quran from Arabic to Urdu and giving its tafsir and historical context, We cannot do it without help of scholar who is well expert in Arabic as well as in Urdu languages and have gained the knowledge of Islamic studies.

Islamic scholar is someone who is well versed in Quran, Hadith(sunnah), Islamic theology, fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) , sharia law, ijma, ijtihad etc. He also has got good knowledge of comparative religion. Scholars even existed during prophet times when common peoples used to go to them for guidance and obtaining knowledge. Pakistan literacy rate is 58% so tell me how the rest of 42% population should gain knowledge of Islam? Whom did you learned to read the Quran? or you were born with this ability to read the Quran and know about Islam without help of any mullah, molvi , scholar, teacher or knowledgeable person?

One must also understand the nature of religion before understanding the nature of government, secularism, and atheism. If you suggest secularism is to carry out the activities of life in this world whether in the fields of economy, politics, education, administration, culture, communications and so on in complete separation from religion or without any connection whatsoever with the Hereafter then religion Islam or God of Islam will oppose such secularism because rule of God/Allah is not taken into account.

Islam is a complete way of life. Islam is a religion for all aspects of life. Islam is a religion of devotion, a religion of politics, a religion of administration, a religion of economy, and a religion of education. Many secular Muslims might believe opposite by applying shariah only in acts of devotion. In other aspects of life, the shariah does not become the rule and discipline but that's not what their God want them to do so dear understand the nature of religion before anything else :)

Who is asking you to compkletely reject hadith, you can look for wudoo or namaaz(btw, they're both there in the quran too, where do u think the shias got theirs?) BUT DONT FORCE THE BARBARIC HADITH LAWS ON EVERYONE.
You cant cherry pick things, and how will you decide which hadith is barbaric and which one not? As per hadith, shias and sunis got their own sets of ahadith, for example the bukhari book is not completely acceptable to the shias.

Take religion out of politics and gov system and things will get better gradually.

Its ok if that is what you believe. But in my opinion, religion is an individual thing. it has nothing to do with roti, kapda makaan.

this is my opinion that no country with a strong religious agenda will every prosper, unless of course it sitting on oil. and that too not for long.

the problem is there is so much religion but less religiousness.

the number of mosques and temples and churches is going up day by day, but there is an almost correlated deterioration in society.

i believe it is because people have started exchanging symbols for faith.

now your religion has become a symbol, a janeu, a burka. wether or not you are a good person doesnt matter, but you must wear the cap. even mr. 10 % will donate millions to shrines.

it is this line of kabir which i remember "qazi baitha quran banche, zameen chor woh karkat ki"..

this mere symbolism, crosses, burkas, beards, mosques have become more important than sincerity, honesty, humanity etc.

and you dont need crosses and burkas to be human, to be sincere, to be honest.

it is an irony that Buddhists, lacking any God in their religion have been the most peaceful religion on earth.

think about it.

The main reason is that many aspects of the civilian power structure are controlled by the feudal elite who detest and fear the middle class. The military is actually preferred by people, not because they love the military, but only because they are the lesser evil and actually provide better governance.

The solution is for a non-feudal based political power structure to emerge which values and fosters the growth of a strong middle class, since it is the middle class which provides a moderating force and the economic engine for a nation's growth and stability.
