One must also understand the nature of religion before understanding the nature of government, secularism, and atheism. If you suggest secularism is to carry out the activities of life in this world whether in the fields of economy, politics, education, administration, culture, communications and so on in complete separation from religion or without any connection whatsoever with the Hereafter then religion Islam or God of Islam will oppose such secularism because rule of God/Allah is not taken into account.
Islam is a complete way of life. Islam is a religion for all aspects of life. Islam is a religion of devotion, a religion of politics, a religion of administration, a religion of economy, and a religion of education. Many secular Muslims might believe opposite by applying shariah only in acts of devotion. In other aspects of life, the shariah does not become the rule and discipline but that's not what their God want them to do so dear understand the nature of religion before anything else
Its ok if that is what you believe. But in my opinion, religion is an individual thing. it has nothing to do with roti, kapda makaan.
this is my opinion that no country with a strong religious agenda will every prosper, unless of course it sitting on oil. and that too not for long.
the problem is there is so much religion but less religiousness.
the number of mosques and temples and churches is going up day by day, but there is an almost correlated deterioration in society.
i believe it is because people have started exchanging symbols for faith.
now your religion has become a symbol, a janeu, a burka. wether or not you are a good person doesnt matter, but you must wear the cap. even mr. 10 % will donate millions to shrines.
it is this line of kabir which i remember "qazi baitha quran banche, zameen chor woh karkat ki"..
this mere symbolism, crosses, burkas, beards, mosques have become more important than sincerity, honesty, humanity etc.
and you dont need crosses and burkas to be human, to be sincere, to be honest.
it is an irony that Buddhists, lacking any God in their religion have been the most peaceful religion on earth.
think about it.
