What's new

Who is the greatest Muslim ruler of the subcontinent and why?

Most of them were great except Akbar and the last few...
However, Muhammad Bin Qasim was the greatest and the most blessed ruler since he saved the locals from tyrannical rule of the raja dahir. Second best was Sher Shah Suri, Then Tughlaq

UK wouldn't be an ally of USA or UK of Italy or Germany of any allied EU state if politicians thought like this

National interest matters, not what you were in the past. Isn't it ?
Truly written....it is just I hope that the Afghans know this as well....
And also I hope the BJP and RSS also think that the past does not matter...

Very well. Personally Tipu Sultan holds some sway over me, the way he fought. A tragedy even.
Although he did not rule over the Subcontinent of India just a small part.
In terms of power and control - it has to be Emperor Aurangzeb but what become of him in his old age....
It is fact , modern day administration revolution was brought by Tipu Sultan . He was the first modern day reformist.

. .
Really? How so?
I have Indian friend from Mysore / Bangalore , has lots of research on Tipu Sultan era. They have lots of good words about his administration. The most amazing part of his history , his govt advisors were mainly Persian migrated from Iran and settled in Bangalore. It show his acceptance of foreigners and good brain.

This is not unique to him as many Persian speaking peoples came to the Subcontinent of India.

No doubt he was a great leader....is your friend Muslim or not. What do the non Muslims think of him?

Tipu was fully trained and supported by the French to fight the British.

He is Muslim , but Bangalore has little different cultural fabric where people has acceptance of all religion. He only complaint that there is little heat of Hindu-Muslim rift since Modi came in power. Otherwise Bangalore is not a place of hate. Where everyone eat beef.... lol... but it is fact.

Well, Bangalore proudly say , Tipu was the inventor of missile . Obviously not a modern day missile. But, he gave a raw concept .

Yeah I recently met a Muslim Bharati, who said that the BJP and RSS have done great work at the grass root level in changing the common non Muslims mind about Muslims and Islam - for the worse....

. .
He had a strategy but did not work. Unlike other Muslim rulers who were Arabic, Turkic, Persian or Mongols/Mughals, he was pure Indic.
Even the Turkic/Persian/Mongol/Mughal/Arabic rulers (not the first ones of course) became mixed with the "natives"......and most Muslims one the Subcontinent of India are just native converts...

You know why it did not work....the same curse Pakistan is suffering from....

Tipu Sultan one of my favorite Muslim leader of the subcontinent, and after him Zulfiqar Ali Bhatto
