KPK says if Punjab builds dams KPK will be flooded due to excess water, and sindh claims Punjab will stop water coming into sindh.
Hence KALA BAGH dam never got built.
And we have not a single intellect in the parliament or in office to shut those unpar jahil up?

When you build dams you can control the water....How can KPK get flooded due to excess water? Dont they have control? Of course when you build dams you have controls and you learn the whole topography not just blindly go building one like a beaver!

Yes I also agree to your point but you need to understand their stance before refuting them. first this dam is on the boarder of KPK and Punjab, so even if Punjab want to build then no body can stop them after 18th amendment (2009). They just need to move dam little bit forward into Punjab. But practically Punjab can't afford this.

KPK Logic, When dam will be build then there will be a lake after kalabagh, and eventually water will raise for indus river. If you see the distance between Kalabagh and Kund it's pretty close so effect will directly come to River Kabul. River Indus can survive with this raise of water, but River Kabul water will also be raised so lots of Places in KPK especially nowshera will come under water. (This happened When terbella was build, 45 KM river side effected due to this issue)
>> There are two sides to refute this point, one proposal was posted by NS government in 1997 that we will build only the power plant rather than complete dam (this proposal was for power, not for flood). It was rejected by KPK at that time
>> second point was, even we build the dam, water reservoir the effects can be diverted by extending the area in kund area, so effects will not reach to Nowshera . It was also rejected by KPK, since they were losing the land.

Sindh Logic, When terbella and Mangla was build the flow was dropped, so Sindh will loss the water.
>> This logic is totally baseless. Sindh lost the water due to indus treaty, when satluj, biyas, and ravi were given to india. Dams didn't put much problem after 1972 (when reservoir reached it's top filling for the first time), so same was proposed in 90s that water store will be done in flood season.

Baluchistan Logic, Why should Baluchistan support anything favoring Punjab.
>> Kalabagh was supposed to give two extra canals to Pakistan, in 90s it was proposed that both canal will only go through KPK to Baluchistan, this means Punjab will actually scarify the water rather then any gain.

Btw even after these logics/proposals all provinces(other then Punjab) rejected this dam.

Last not the least, currently the only untamed rivers are Chenab and Kabul. Pakistan need some dams on these rivers ASAP to protect Pakistan. Kalabagh might help some in regards of river Kabul, but not much. So this should be least priority right now.

I have been hearing of this dam from all my growing up days ...

I am not soo familiar with the geography of Pakistan will look it up...but I still think that some intellect should drill some sense into these unpar jahil protesters!

Sorry just had to put this up when you were talking about different provinces:

Basically they need to get over their differences and really find a solution! :)

Now I think sense would have been prevailed in everyone after worst loadshadding his Pakistan (Keep in mind Kalabagh was going to add 3.7GW into the grid) and after two extreme floods (2010 and now), but the only issue now will be funding. In 70s, 80s, and 90s this dam was very much within the budget. after 2000s cost has gone high.

Well it would still be cheaper to scrape some funds instead of repairing the damage from this and the next and the next flood :( Not to mention lives which cant be calculated in $

Actually, when PTI came into KPK, I was hopeful. PML-N and PTI will join the hand and atleast build the dams, since they both are major stack holders in this. But, (Meray sarray khuwabon pay panni phir gaya). If you know KPK, they never select same party in next election. So, there are high chances ANP will come back in next elections then same old story..

Yea...I think many felt like that but one cant deny the amount of corruption that goes unaccounted for :(

Yea they never do....they always give everyone a try ...which is good...wish other provinces tried that for a change

I don't know on which side you are tend more, religious or Science, Since I have a theory.

Science says, when a specie survives, it find cure to it's fault and it evolve into something better.
Religion Says, Avatar is sent by God (Allah) who comes and resolve the your problems.

I believe on combination of both, Until I don't find anyone with saint qualities I will continue to support the system, if it survives it will eventually be evolve into something better (election reforms, constitutional improvements, etc)

Which is why, I want this tenor to go, since I know next will be better if system survives..

Theory is not always the same as practice....very few bother to move towards something better....the current condition of Pakistan is not even better than when it started...

For this bit I would like to say you can bring a horse to water but you cant force it to drink...ALLAH sends Avatar and help but if you refuse to take in that help (read the scriptures and abide by them) you cant expect to be helped!

Until I don't find anyone with saint qualities . I will continue to support the system,
And you think the system has saint qualities yet we dont have proper drainage, many are uneducated, we dont even have proper electrical sources, gas loadhsedding has become common and lets not forget the very basic thing : food...inflation is ridiculous...I can get milk cheaper here in Europe than in Pakistan!

These are just few to mention havent even reached to welfare when basic man who is paying for facilities isnt getting them for get welfare :(

You missed the point by miles. What is system? What was the system when Pakistan came into existence? How many times system wasn't let lived it's life? The only time system continue to survive was long marshal laws or current era. So if you want to compare then compare it with zardari era, and I think it's miles better then his era.

If he is saint send by Allah then he will have qualities, and I will be listening (waiting) for him, and even if I miss him, still he will be successful.
