I have just recently got the HTC desire from Telus.
Got it unlocked for $40 and have rooted it, now I am able to install lots of cool app and games for free.



I also have an IPhone4, you can Jailbreak it and unlock it only if you dont upgrade to 4.2. Just leave it at 4.1.

He got it unlocked in Bombay at a store for 500 rupees. I am sure you can get it done in the US - many Chinese-owned stores in LA did it.

Did you mean indian made phones?Well there are atleast a dozen indian brands and noteworthy ones are micromax,spice and onida.The coolest indian phone models i have seen are
*micromax modu-lightest touch screen phone in the world(holds guines world record for that)..it's a 3.5g phone with 2.6 inch touch screen,5 mp cam,gps,and weights only 60 grams!
*spice 3D-with 3d holographic display
And for international brands,phones costs a bit more in india than in usa.

I want to buy iphone 4g. but i heard there is no software YET to unlock it.

only modem version 2.10 is not unlockable yet but you can jailbreak it ..
all lower modem version are unlockable ...

as soon as 4.2 firmware is officially release , dev team will release it ultrasnow patch for unlock . its confirmed ..

by the way if anyone want a guide to unlock his iphone , he or she can contact me

The Qube will cost u 4,900 Indian Rs and Qube is the wortiest phone for 4.9k

If I went for a new phone right now, I'd go for an HTC Incredible but personally I want something thats really advance before I dish out a lot of cash for it. My old Iphone is just fine.
