There's nothing wrong if we keep our conflicts on side and concentrate on the development and betterment of our countries and finish all bad relations with each other and move ahead . No one's telling to get a united India , we can still create a developed south Asia and keep good trade relations with each other by not harming our sovereignty .
That would undo 1947 and frankly if was about regional trade only then we should have let the Queen rule us. No wars, peace, no defence costs etc etc.

The Western world beats to the same drum. All of it is tied into USA and has remarkably similiar culture mostly evoved from Christian tradition with a strong Greco-Roman influence. Watch and see the differance between Canadian/English. Or Irish/English.

.
That's my point Ali haider . If the European countries can combine together and form a developed safe Europe , if the Arabs can be together and create a rich middle east so why can't we south Asians form unity and dedicate our attention to the development of this region and form it as exemplary to other world .

This is a very romantic notion, to say the least, that South Asia would be to emulate Europe, without a similarly destructive war to let the populations realize that their rulers are in it for themselves and not their respective peoples. Given that the MAD doctrine now applies, I just foresee the present stalemate continuing for a very long time, unless upset by economic collapse of one or more countries first. May be then, from the ruins, a new South Asia can emerge that can develop.

Sri Lanka - if it can continue to play China and India and get sweet deals from both - no real enemies after the LTTE defeat, small geographical area, no land enemies, friendly neighbouring country with a huge market to feed - grwo/produce in SL, sell in nearby huge market, get tourism from there as well, get financial deals from China, India, make friends with Pakistan to balance out India, China, Pakistan

.
Bangladesh’s situation is that of a wapda meter reader. If they become developed and lose their LDC status, it’s game over.

.
My vote would be for Sri Lanka if they can fix the local troubles.
But voted for pakistan to make our neighbors happy :azn:. pakistan will never be prosperous if afghanistan is burning, there will always be spill over.

.
Lanka would have already been a developed nation if not for its civil war. Bhutan and Nepal are next - low populations, incredible tourism potential, proximity to a huge market like India.

Pak!!! Reason is simple - if Turkey can manage to go from a bankrupt $150b (2002) economy (capitulated to IMF - the ultimate gift from the secularists) to a ~850b$ (2016) one under a capable "Muslim" leadership, so can Pak!!! These Muslim leaders mostly follow the teachings of Nakshibendi Terikat, which is greatly influenced by Imam-i Rabbani (the Mujaddid of the 2nd millennium and was from Punjab during the reign of Padishah Jihangir), to understand Hakikat.

Here are some details:
  • Current total Pak economy = 2 x 300b (documented) = 600b$
  • It's a "hard country" with a big heart (P2K: patronage to kinship)
  • Folks love to spend and lead a decent life, and they have common sense
  • Folks think big (build nukes/fighters/tanks/missiles, foster relationship with China, destroy the USSR, play tango with the USA, finish off the proxies traitor terrorists (one of the best in this trade under the best patrons), never give a damn to the Indian Hindu leadership by being engaged with them 24/7, keep engaged in Afganistan , secure Haremain etc.)
  • CPEC, OBOR etc.
  • Smart and forward looking young generation
  • Prospect for a leadership with Iman and Ihlas
  • Converting Turkey-Pak relationship to a comprehensive level
  • A daring deep state and intriguing intelligence service
  • A capable standing military
  • Murad-i Ilahi: details will get me BANNED!!!!!

Bangladesh, if it can survive the affects of climate change, coming within the next few decades.

Pakistan will be next, and India will be last.

Agree, India will be last.

Sri Lanka will be first, Bangladesh or Pakistan will be second (BD, if it losses LDC status, their exports will take a hit) and Pakistan (with hostility with India is not doing any help) Bhutan will be third, Nepal second last.

Now I wonder why India did not allow the Google candid camera? MMmmm maybe right to privacy? Yes of course. It was not because it would expose the truth behind the shining developing India songs.

Not privacy, security concerns. You get a 360 degree view of any tourist spots in India. Which is the main target for terrorists, as seen in the 26/11. The photographs of each locations were used in planning the Mumbai attacks.

None of them.

Too much religion, too little reasoning.
Reminds me of US. Too much religion. (Although it's relatively less now)
