WHERE IS THE MORAL OUTRAGE OF PAKISTANI NATION

There is no grand conspiracy involving the army. We need to grow up as a nation and stop looking for scapegoats outside our own selves. Is the army writing school textbooks? Is the army regulating what village clerics say to their flock? Is it the army's job to arrest and prosecute gangsters and criminal gangs in the cities?

The truth is much more simple, and it is the same around the world: it's always about the pocketbook.

For most people, terrorism is not a major concern. The bigger issue is the power outages, jobs and general economy.

Imran Khan talked a lot about drones: his candidacy was practically defined by the drone issue, almost to the exclusion of everything else. He failed to connect with voters' pocketbooks.

Nawaaz Sharif, accomplished charlatan that he is, promised people that he would address their economic concerns, without collecting or raising taxes.

And we know the election result.

Intelligence involvement with protecting and creating these Terrorist is hardly conspiracy its THE Truth and only will fully blind can't see it .And yes its is about the pocket book of the generals and politicians.

Most countries provide safe and secure environment to attract Investment and tourist. How did nawaz plan to archive that by LEJ terrorist providing security or Negotiating with ttp who admitted killing tourist in nanga purbit.

He has managed to get FDI via Arab capitals by the billions but unfortunately that money only creates short term jobs and you have to be willing to kill or die to get paid.

I know I know, everyone here is either attending a top 100 university or have attended one and working for fortune 500, tell me something that I dont know. I am just a govt (yellow) school educated (barely passed) doing a labor work here in toronto. So my knowledge about economy is zero as compared to a Ivy leaguer. So, I guess I should accept the amount of economics knowledge you have showered on me or as you said "presented with Ganga's faults"....I change my stance and i will no longer support Ganga...can I please get your phone number or email, should I come across other challenges in life where i require an educated advice I might be able to contact you, please?

I'm not here to convince who I am or what I do.
YOU my friend were the one who made it personal, asking me who I was and what I do.

Now, stop making yourself the little victim.

While I agree that the generals and feudals put their self-interest first and lost half the country in 1971, I can't believe that the generals would be party to a Shia genocide against a third of the country.

The feudals are the ultimate scum and have no scruples, but the generals would be smart enough to understand that a country torn by internal strife cannot possibly remain strong militarily.

Nawaz Sharif and Family have shielded Lashkar e Jhangvi and supported this evil Anti-Shia murderous group responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Shia Elites and ordinary people.

My question to Pakistani Nation is how long are we going to watch this massacre continue under our name. Did we elect his Government to massacre Shia Children.

14 Shia Hazara girls were slaughtered in Quetta and 22 were injured. LeJ openly and notoriously admitted killing the children. Not only that, but they also murdered 4 nurses and the Deputy Commissioner.

What action has Nawaz Sharif taken against that incident ?

And why is the so-called Pakistani media quiet about the whole affair ?

Why is the Pakistani nation not outraged ?

And now this Shia most senior Judge Justice Maqbool Baqar Rizvi attacked and I am sure LEJ is involved.

Shame on us as a nation of Murderers and supporters of Murder.

So much so that we elect a PM who is involved in this heinous crime.

If you guys remember a guy name Riaz Basra , a terror of Punjab and killed many Shia. Shahbaz Shareef was CM of Punjab. He put the head money for this terrorist. Next day he sent a pic . He circled a faced and threat Shahbaz Shareef, take your words back otherwise your security is not helping you to save.
Later Riaz Basra was killed by malang of Shrine in Multan....
When no security for sunni , how they can provide security to shia. But atleast they should condemn these acts openly from govt sources. But govt is scared ......

First Basra was killed by the man whose brother had been killed by basra? funny how basra family was getting money every month plus he used to visit them yet your intelligence agents couldn't find him.:lazy:

But lets go towards innocent PML-N could you please explain this as we would love your explanation?

Will PMLN Rana Sanaullah sever his ties with Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP) and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ)?

By Raza Ruman
Lahore, Feb 19 (PAK DESTINY) Will PML-N Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah sever his links with Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi after Quetta carnage? The SSP and LeJ are allegedly enjoying the patronage of the PMLN ranks.
Rana Sanaullah was caught openly campaigning along with SSP and LeJ in by-polls in Jhang some times ago.
He even did not hesitate accepting his relations with these two banned outfits involved in killing thousands of Shias in Pakistan for years.
PMLN chief Nawaz Sharif has condemned Quetta carnage but short of expressing his resolve to put a check on these two banned outfits in at least in Punjab.
As Sharif had not expressed happiness over the killing of Osama Bin Laden he would be at unease if pressure mounts to clamp down on the SSP and LeJ ‘safe heavens’ in Punjab. – Pak Destiny.

Punjab govt may not act against LeJ PML-N has seat adjustments with defunct SSP

ISLAMABAD: While the federal government wants the Punjab government to launch a massive crackdown on the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LJ) and defunct Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP), Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif is unlikely to oblige. The main reason is a seat-to-seat adjustment deal between the PML-N and Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) for the upcoming elections.

Well-informed circles in the ASWJ (previously the SSP) confirmed that following extensive discussions, the two parties had agreed to have seat adjustments in the general election on at least 15 seats of the National Assembly from South Punjab where they would not field candidates against each other.

Two former key leaders of SSP, Maulana Mohammad Ahmed Ludhianvi and Malik Mohammad Ishaq, who are currently the president and vice president of the ASWJ respectively, are all set to run for two National Assembly seats from the South Punjab in the coming polls, with the support of the PML-N.

After being banned by the Musharraf regime as a terrorist group in 2002, the SSP was renamed as the ASWJ and it will be using the same platform to contest the election. Malik Ishaq, who has been commanding the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi since his July 14, 2011 release from a Lahore jail, was made vice president of the ASWJ on September 18, 2012 by Maulana Ludhianvi.

He was formally inducted into the ASWJ hardly a few days after Interior Minister Rehman Malik had written a letter to the chief secretary Punjab, asking him to arrest Ishaq for allegedly sponsoring sectarian terrorism. The letter was never responded to.

Reading this thread, I am struck that a majority of Pakistani posters do not understand, they do not get, that this sect business is a technique, a method, to destroy Pakistan -- See it does not matter whether you are sunni or Shia or martian, as long as you are Pakistani, you are a target --- But how do you make people forget this truth?? That's super easy, you attack one group and you continue to do so until you get a response and then, well, it's all downhill from there.

So if you find that there is no moral outrage, allow me to offer a couple of reasons for it:

1. So what? My sect is OK
2. They deserve it they are not my sect and are in fact heretics
3. I'm fresh out of Moral outrage, honestly - I don't even have tears left
4. I know and understand this sect game is designed to destroy Pakistan, but what can I do? Our leaders are to blame, the judiciary, the politicians, the police, the army, the media, our text books, the economy, illiteracy, etc, etc

You can try and evade this, but like the line says, you can run but you can't hide. If you cannot and will not save yourself and thereby saving others, why should others help you

Present Punjab govt is hijack by TTP and Lej. Both brother and their relative are encircled by these extremist elements.

To have a Moral fortitude , you must have a moral fortitude and not a ' selective' moral fortitude.

Replace the word shia's with Hindus/ Jews/ Christians being killed by the terrorists groups in/from Pakistan and we see a silent majority showing no moral outrage and then you wonder why they continue to show no moral outrage even when it hits sub groups @ home??

Good news is after the 5 years of Mr Nawaz silent majority will pay the heaviest price? Killing industrialist judges engineers, scientist and doctors can only improve the economy.

Majority of Pakistanis don't seem to have a sense of nationhood. They just group themselves into tribes and fend themselves. The government must create a strong national identity for people to believe that they belong together and therefore must care for each other.

Pakistanis are conditioned to take care of themselves and their immediate family that they don't give a hoot about others, let alone the NATION. We are a selfish bunch who are only interested in what we can get out of every deal and the Nation can go to hell. As long as we have this selfish attitude and don't learn the meaning of the word NATIONHOOD irrespective of cast, creed , sect race etc., we will wander as lost people.

Every citizen of the country is part of us and is precious human being and a fellow citizen. We must learn to protect each other and value each other because we are riding in the same boat.

You know, even though I agree to your points, you are actually contradicting your self.

I remember when I said the exact same thing about Pakistan building/ offering schools in Turkey..trying to educate a nation that is light-years ahead us instead of helping its own people who are in dire need of education which would eliminate many of the problems you and others have listed. Instead of calling me patriotic or Pakistan and its citizens before others type of person, I was called a "Disgrace" by you. Not that your witless rants hurt my e-feelings, I just do not like people with double standards.

Here the real deal -- Most of us here are urban and middle class - So either there is something very wrong with us or there is something very wrong with the Pakistani state/

What the ... What are you on about ?

Look, there seems to be a disconnect between our values and those that the Pakistani state promotes - right? We, if you go by these threads want a Pakistan where people can exercise their conscience and where every confession is free, where the very idea of persecution on the basis of confession or conscience is unthinkable, right? and yet llo at what we have, look at the response of the state, look at our textbooks (state produced) --- it has to be one opr the other, either we are nuts or the state is.

If it is us, then lest realize and leave Pakistan to it's fate, or for those who cannot stomach this and have the will to fight to correct their illness, then they need re-education/

On the other hand, if it is the state, what must be done?

That was a different situation. There a we had spent a small amount on a School to a brotherly nation. The amount that we spent was nothing compared to what that nation has done for us. They spent 10 times on many schools in Azad Kashmir. also, it wasn't just I but at least five other Pakistanis who tried to shame you for your pettiness. Please go back and read all the other comments by other Pakistanis against your petty comments.
