When someone says Torah is a revelation he/she means Torah as it was revealed, not as it's now. Otherwise Torah means as it is now in its entirety. '99% pure' is an oxymoron.

A corrupted revelation is still a revelation.Burigonga is still filled with water.Authentic means something whose origin is undisputed.Authenticity depends on origin not current condition.Miriam-Webster uses this example:'We saw authentic examples of ancient Roman sculpture.' It does not mean the sculpture has to look as it was in the roman era.It only matters if it was made by the Romans.

Torah's origin is undisputed.Man did not write it.Man added or subtracted from it.Either way the I think you got what I meant by Vedas might be revelations from God.

Monotheism was not a new concept rather can be found in various places of world in various times just as polytheism , Jews probably got the idea from Egyptians, not vedas.

Akhenaten is the only known monotheist king of Egypt.But if the Biblical accounts are true Abraham came wayyy before him.But there must have been other people who were monotheists other than the Egyptians of Akhenaten's time.We don't know much about the Old Kingdom leave alone stuff before that.

You can call Zakir Naik whatever you want.But character assassination is not considered to be a part of logical argument.His belief in Saudi system of banning all other religion maybe wrong and hateful but you still have to provide arguments against whatever point you are referring to here!

Islamism is proportional to Anti Islamism. The more anti Islamists (secular, communism etc) become active, the more Islam becomes stronger in the heart of the followers....

God did send Prophets to mid-east only not all nations, that's a mystery !

Living in fools paradise, Hindus do not consider great people in Vedas, Ramayana, Mahabharata as prophets but GODS.

The list of people like Bhuddha, Guru Nanak, vardhamana Mahavira etc.etc is endless. compared to middle east.

Why do I need to born before Quran to have some of the content of it to be agreeable with me. I didn't read Quran so it must be universal knowledge and not exclusive to some group or individual.

Anyway @Skallagrim misinterpreted my post, what I said that in various places of world in various times just as polytheism, it doesn't conform the Quranic view of every nation having a prophet and their revelation being corrupted with time(I guess kind of same as what Christians say "Fall of Man"). Various places doesn't mean all places, there are nations which never been monotheist throwout known history. I guess we can count out pre historic time as men then wasn't sophisticated enough for the revelation.

I will make one effort, see if it makes sense or forget it.

1) lufty says - vedas are corrupted etc etc (also he believes jesus is not son of god). Then says thats a muslim point of view and he's not forcing his views down anyone's throats. FAIR. But when it comes to non muslim and atheist POV on your books and yor prophet, he does not want that freedom of expresiion, there he wants blasphemy etc. Its easy to see how that is supremacist - i,e, islam to be given a higher position than others.

2) Similarly, zakir naik says ''muslims know they are right'' hence they are ok not to allow non muslims even building their worship places let alone preach. But he builds dawa centres in india with saudi money. That is also supremacist and intolerant as his postion is not logical but supremacist - i.e. muslims ''KNOW'' and then denies others an even playing field. He rejects that ''others also know'' they are right.
