When Pakistani Air force pilots not only breaks the defense of US Aircraft carrier but also US proud

.
A quick question. If Pakistan had identified a plan that could take out an entire carrier, why would they give it away?

Probably Bravado or to test if the plans works?
Because if it can work against US probably it would not only moral boaster, but also help them to plan things on Sub continent front more aggressively. Achievements like these act as boost agent down the line.

Watch your language. Indian Sea Harriers can't mock sink an Island, let alone a ship, which is much smaller . Tossing dumb bombs doesn't mock sink shiit. There was a reason why your Naval Command was dying to get the Mig-29 SM's. At this point, the Harriers are good to scare the Nepalese or the Sri Lankans......bull shiit everyone but the big-d. He knows the real deal.

And no carrier is "handicapped", you don't even know the layers of defense each carrier has. So when you can correctly identify how a carrier is protected, you come back and let me know. Till then, no need to involve me in discussions. The last thing I want on here is to waste time and educate 18 year old children!!

Oh Boy! Someone did dropped you on your head as a baby. No one could be that bereft of logic (Islands could be sunk! LOL), unless he has some kind of biological deficiency.

It is not my problem that you do not understand what "rules of engagement" mean in an exercise. In order to give carriers experience of defending against bombing runs, their long distance interception is switched off and carrier's escort instructed not to intercept simulated enemy bogey.

And Indian Jaguars did mock sunk USN carrier in an exercise. http://archive.indianexpress.com/ne...-f18s-return-the-favour-to-ins-viraat/215163/

Being a pilot myself I must say that it is very good and skillful flying by PAF.
however as per Sun Tzu:
a) "Know the enemy and know yourself; in a hundred battles you will never be in peril"
and
b) more importantly: " All warfare is based on deception" --Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near.

I am sure these points valid here.o_O:police:

Are you Lal Topi?
Did i ever said its actual event?
I posted my views and not briefing you from white house.
People like you always see things with negativity, cant digest any other angle of thoughts and that why the country is in mess.

I hope you read this too

Improve your digestive system sir, you cannot digest anything other than what you are use too.
You are the vomiting, not me kitty.
Its better to stay out of an issue if you have ZERO understanding about it.
Tip from my side.

@waz @Irfan Baloch @HRK
we got a ''pilot'' here.

Indian Express :tsk:
Don''t you have any official source?
It will be great to see that IAF also has similar capability thought its highly unlikely that they will face air craft in combat ever.

If you have problem with the source, use google.

And the point here was not that IAF have similar capabilities, but that no one has a capability to sink a nuclear powered carrier with an escort of 90 planes in real life ,unless he too commits hundreds of plane for doing so.

Exercises are done under restricted rules of engagement to test black swan events. If long range SAMs and Air interception is part of every war game, a carrier would never get experience against fending off bombing/missile runs in cases where enemy break through fighter screen.

I don't have any problem, I am just asking for Official Source, not some cooked up story in random media paper.

Plz don't ''teach'' me such childish stuff. Give me official source of your claim as I am interested in that part only.

Wing Commander Asim Suleiman Leader and O.C. No 8 Squadron
Flight Lieutenant Ahmed Hassan Wingman

Quote:

Interesting incident: In one of the "Inspired Alert" exercises, the PAF pilots were supposed to try to get "as close to the aircraft carrier" as possible without detection, and accomplish other tasks. USN was tasked to detect Pakistani intruders and USN fighters (F-14s) were to intercept them. Both sides had complete freedom in selecting their strategy. The USN was very confident that the PAF Mirages would not be able to get too close, mainly because their RADARs and other equipment were superior to anything Pakistan had. To their amazement, not only did 2 Mirage fighters get "as close as possible", they even flew low beside the aircraft carrier, "buzzing" the deck.
They stayed undetected by flying dangerously low over the sea under RADAR cover, and by creating diversions and fooling them into thinking the main intruders were coming from a different direction (other Mirages, I think). By the time they realized that 2 Mirages had made it close, it was too late to interecept them. This forced even senior USN pilots to react.
I read this story in a book about PAF exercises, but I have forgotten its name. I have also forgotten many other details, like the name of the carrier, the year of the exercise and the exact Mirage type (III or V). All I remember is that they had an artist's concept picture on a full page, showing two Mirages zooming towards the deck of a USN aircraft carrier and the sun setting in the distance.

Pakistan Air Force Mirage-V
NO. 8 SQUADRON'S "MISSION IMPOSSIBLE" SUCCEEDS
1500 HOURS - 30 MAY 1995
Flying a few feet above the Arabian Sea, the two Mirage pilots are impressed by the awesome silhouette of the nuclear-powered Abraham Lincoln as the carrier looms gradually above the sea curvature, dead on the nose. The mission: To penetrate successfully the Carrier Task Force's early warning and perimeter defences and, to deliver a simulated Exocet guided missile attack on "the world's largest warship". The memorable sortie was flown during "Inspired Alert" - a Pakistan-US joint exercise. O.C. No. 8 Squadron, strictly following the ground rules, planned and led a simultaneous multi-directional attack profile against CVN-72, in an attempt to overload its defence. As two of the three Mirage pairs turned away, the lead Mirage carried out a simulated Exocet "launch" from several miles away, without meeting any of the ship's fighters. The Squadron Commander and his wingman later did a friendly fly by at the carrier's side, perhaps just as surprised as the Lincoln's crews, at the missed interception.

And I am not interested in education people who don't even know basics.

If true then a commendable job by the Pakistani force, Nothing wrong in appreciating a daring procedure pulled off nicely even if done by our rivals! Good luck and health to everyone in this world.

I think similar technique was used by 2 russian su 24s to buzz an american destroyer in black sea recently un detected

Thats what you call an Ace of real mission impossible!

U can read the complete story if get a chance of visiting any PAF arts exhibition esp that of Mr Hussaini. Complete story is pasted at the bottom of the painting :-)

It was probably done.like this

Even this one was too high for the mission under consideration. Trust me on that :-) What if I tell You that they maintained 5 ft ASL during the mission... 8-)
