When did you first decide you hated Israel and why?

I dont understand why the whole world is so bothered about such a minuscule piece of land when so many people die of hunger and curable diseases everyday.
So much propaganda from both sides almost drives people insane and there's no solution. People just want to deprive Jews of the only land they can call "home", and I'm damn sure they will never abandon without a fight. The resulting war would do more damage than any good to either the Palestinians OR the Israelis.

Plz tell me why the state of israel was established in palestine where there are so many land available in africa, australia, canada and In south america...

When did you first decide you hated Israel and why?

When I first heard about some airstrike or something when I was 13 or so. That's when my interest for current affairs began. I read the background of the country and saw what they did to people.

Thats when it began.

I actually don't hate Israel nor do I hate jews in particular

The problem arises with some misconception , generally in Pakistan and most of middle east , no one even knows what exactly is a Jew or Israel

And also we do not have detailed studies on World War 2 , as it was not our problem we were enslaved by British so our focus in history books is on winning our freedom and struggle of our people and leaders .....

Israel / Palestine etc ww2 is not that much discussed

These issues are pretty much undiscussed , in text books you have like a 1 page article explaining the problem in Palestine/Israel
may be 1 chapter , and the rest of the information comes from Visual News channels , which formulates the public opinion.

So as a youth when you are growing up you ask a simple question


Why ?
Why are Israeli's so cruel that they are willing to demolish homes for Palestininas instad of living side by side with them using democracy ?


Then obviously you see images of civilians with no weapons on streets , you see they have no jobs no work and no economy in their CAMPS and then you feel sorry for the Palestininas

This was my initial view .....

DO NOT KNOW WHO ARE THE JEWS , OR WHAT ISRAEL IS .......


As I grew up , I learned about WW2 in more detail , but even so I imagined if that was the case would they not be more compasionate becasue if germans did the harm to them they would not do that to others ????


Then I met some jews my frist jewish people contact , very good I ate food with them shared food etc and it was just like any other normal person - so I was genuinely confused

WHY ? WHY ... can we not have peace in that region if I can have dinner with Jewish person peaceful and share jokes and chat during lunch breaks why can't there be peace?


Then I investigated more ... and the more I investigated the more it became apparent to me that ... jews are not the problem ... its the system that is in place , a system that discriminates and that is cruel and is hateful ....

and there is no one strong enough to really challenge it and help bring change , I learned about people in Israel , jews that even hate that system and they want peace ...

I saw videos of people trying to bring youth of Paltesine / Israel together when they were 10 years old and as they age ... I saw them start to learn from adults all the hate and they stopped beliving ...in peace ....


Then I also saw some documentatries about peopel living in camps who have no jobs they work illegally and sleep in garbage / huts made of garbage etc ... they build all homes for others but they live in garbage dumps ... I wondered how cruel is that ? Life is so cruel

So do I hate Israel .... I don't know ... I just want law to prevail and peace prevail and the people who believe in peace prevail nothing more ...I want the people in Israel who believe in peace be strong and in power , I want people on Palestine who believe in peace be strong and in power ...

This is what I want -

Also when F16 Fighters are used against civilians and civilian buildings its very sad too ... its pretty much a genocide if shooting an unarmed man is called illegel so should be the case when F16 Take out civilian targets

Then every one asks ..... the same question .....

Look ....

d) Its unfair ....

Why is the world not stopping it ?


When Saddam invaded Kuwait ?
How quickly the world came together for GULF war 1 ?

Why is OIL that much important vs lives in Palestine ?

Its a lasting question that remains unanswered .....

Of course then you also ocassionally meet Palestinians or if you happen to see one of their conventions and you see their old pictures of old you see they had a distinct culture and history ... in those black and white pictures , they used to have clothes and culture ....

Now its fading away ... as each generation passes they are being driven away ... no different then what happened to native indians in US .. in past ?

It defines all logic ... and confuses you

Its makes you realize when man has weapons in their hand they become animals


But as you examine the problem as you grow you wonder why don't the europeans help control Israel's in humane treatment of Palestinians

Then you look at US , and same thing there is normally no action untill recently with OBAMA ....

Perhaps the correct question should be


"
WHEN DID YOU NOTICE PALESTINE'S Freedom as an international Issue"


Again its not only issue for Muslims but its issue for international community but if international community would want to just put sanctions on Iran only while Israel is riding its Nuclear subs all over middle east ....

Don’t try to lead ( read mislead) members that what they shall write and what they shouldn’t...everyone has very clearly got the intentions of thread starter (yours as well) . Our members here are very intelligent, they understand what has been asked from them and have given excellent perspective of their views till now. So dont try to dictate anyone here.

As everyone said that it’s not Israel or Jews that they hate but the vicious policies and actions of few that speak louder than words.

Even being Muslim and Pakistani, I hate all the Pakistanis/Muslims that go against the writ of the government, bring destruction on my land and its people and incite hate and divisions in the name of religion or their political agendas.

So it’s not all the people of any certain religion/creed that we hate, it’s only the ones that are harmful and bring misery to masses wherever they are.

on the other hand, I do not like Israel's suppression of Palestine and I believe Israel should give back them their land.

to conclude, I support Indian government's stand regarding Israel and Indian government's moral support to Palestine.

I have never and still do not hate Israel. This does not however mean that I stop myself from seeing barbarism, sheer colonial mentality and abuse of poor Palestinians.

Being a Jew you shouldn't love Israel either. If my promised land had been responsible for such barbarism, I would have disowned it and probably disowned any relations with the nation and religion.

The day Palestine is created, Pakistan will and must recognise Israel. In my opinion it should do so now to utilise dialogue for this purpose alone. If we accept Israel, many others would follow.

We should recognize Israel anyway. What's the point of not recognizing them? Our support for Palestine? We can do that while having established foreign relations with them as well.

I don't hate Israel nor do i like it.I think they're just over zealous religious fanatics.Israeli leaders often cite Jewish religious ideals to justify their ongoing genocide of Arabs. I do not hate Israel. Far from it. In fact I am a great admirer of Israel and all that it stands for since its creation. I respect people with the balls to stand up for their own, regardless of what others may think or do. Less talk, more action. Make a decision and go with it, with the full force of your nation behind you to see it to the very end.

There is a lot to admire about Israel, and a lot we can and should learn from them. In fact, way more than the US, and right up there with Russia, as an Indian I consider Israel to be our most important ally, both technologically and militarily, be it intelligence or hardware, against the backdrop of shared interests and ideologies.

I've made some good Israeli friends during my road trips to Himachal as well as Goa. They are a tough bunch. Very close knit. Very reserved and suspicious initially. But once they accept you into their circle, you get to know what makes them tick. They are smart and can be ruthless. They have their antennae always up, observing, assimilating, absorbing info. Their girls are right up there with their guys. Formidable foes, worthy friends.
