When are you going back to Arabia?’: Chinese Muslims became the target of online hate

Chinese seem to have no problem with Pakistanis and we are predominantly Muslim. There are even marriages and many Chinese-Pakistan couples. I'm sure there are certain biases among some idiotic and ignorant youth, but for the most part I think Chinese respect Muslims.

Half Taiwanese-Pakistani, and for the sake of the argument I will consider him Chinese.

Plus I believe student to student relations are very warm, so I don't believe that the average Chinese student hates Islam.

I know for a fact that an emperor of China welcomed Islam as a religion in China. Although, he said it was too strict for him to become Muslim, he encouraged people to follow the religion because Muslims are generally very disciplined people.

Also Muslims have respect for Chinese civilization. Even the prophet Muhammad saw, told his followers that education is very important in Islam and that it is such a necessity that one must even travel to China or 'Chin' just to gain knowledge.

There is a new Pakistani movie coming out where the main character is Chinese that falls in love with a Pakistan girl.

So at the end of the day, there may be ignorant western type Chinese people that hate Islam due to wrong information, but in general I feel Chinese are good people and on average very fair.

I could be the only Chinese as a bad guy here. For I'm gonna say what I really think about this article.
The Han Chinese girl converted to Islam. I'm not going to judge her even though I don't feel glad cause she will definitely not marry any Han man in future because of her religion.

What makes me feel bad about the whole thing is. Was she trying to show off by posting her photo on the net with that scarf? If yes that's an offensive gesture for me cause as a Chinese we are very proud of our culture. Did she think about how other Chinese feel when she betrayed our culture and showed off around?

Muslims you should understand the anger of our folks. Let's switch the positions. What do you feel if a female Muslim converts to other religion and shows off in the public? Maybe you would behave in a worse manner.
Bro, religion is a temporary affair. Tomorrow if she didn't like Islam, she would just convert back. Don't need to take it too personal.

Kankan is correct though. Not as easy as you think.

In the first place, the Chinese are a homogenous-centric people. Marrying outside the Han race is frowned upon and discouraged- this applies even for males.

for those that do exist: i dont agree that there is 'alot' of Chinese-pakistan couples, especially if one were to take chinese-korean, chinese-thai, chinese-white examples into comparison

this is correct- there are too many aspects of Islam that are totally at odds with Sinic/Confucianic culture/philosophy/practices/principles, but im not gonna go into them.

Like I said, Chinese are tolerant people. As long as no1 imposes or preach their beliefs forcibly onto others who dont share such beliefs, one is free to practice his/her own religion.

You have such a problem with veil or headscarf because it is not considered 'Chinese' tradition. I would like to know whether you say the same to millions of Chinese wearing western jeans and designer shirts. Why the hypocrisy, unless you consider western European clothes as superior?

Wrong, few stupid behave like that, the majority don't
If you think so. Han Chinese cherish family bonding value. After a Han converted to Islam, he/she on most occasions can not eat with other family members. Can't attend family member's or relative's funeral. Can't drink with his/her friends. Do you know what that represents to him/her in our society?

No he didn't say that.

The problem come from Chinese gov, who are acting like any "assimilator" around the world, and if those elite do so, then any average one will thinkit's ok to do so... Same happening in Europe and aorund the world...
Assimilation never worked...
And controling ppl is easier when they are not educated... as for today... it will not work anymore, at least not that easily...
No. It's not about Chinese gov. Chinese culture is basically atheistic since like forever.

Jeans or shirts don't represent any religion. headscarf does.

Respectfully, I would like to say there are roughly 56 ethnic groups within China. Are the other ethnicities within China not considered Chinese, unless they are Han? This is wrong mindset brother. If you believe this, then you are no different from Brahmin Hindus of India. China is a beautiful nation and all the people make China what it is today in my view.

I find this Hui song absolutely beautiful.

It makes me as a Muslim Pakistan very interested in China. There is so much diversity. Instead of just Kung Fu movies and westernized Chinese food, I see a different angle of China with I would definitely like to explore. Being close minded is not the way to progress.

Love to you my friend. Please change your outlook.

I'm fine with Hui Muslims. Don't mistaken me. If the girl keeps low profile I wouldn't say a word.

You've answered none of my points. Arrogance is not a virtue, but rather a curse upon humanity. I hope that you will become wiser as you age.
