i wouldnt call it disownership, actually it is jealousy of the most morbid kind. how can a 17 yr old pushtun girl get the coveted award and not BB - the darling of the west or NS or AZ or for that matter any other so called politician. the only other person in my mind who deserves such a prize is Mr. Edhi of Edhi Foundation - social worker.

@Irfan Baloch @Akheilos There are multiple reasons of Dr.Salam castration from society. It was his active involvement with Jamat e Ahmadiyya that made him controversial. He used to preach his religion and praise Mirza qadiyani openly. Second reason, there were strong doubts that he and Dr.Munir both colluded with americans and traded secrets about Pak nuclear program. Dr. Qadeer in his columns and Brigadier Tirmizi, ISI CI Head from 76-83 in his book profile of intelligence accused Dr.Salam colluding with americans.

Hence He was sidelined by the society and establishment beside he was against Ahmadi laws enacted by parliament and left Pakistan.
