Guys I am preparing to visit Pakistan along with my mum, son and daughter. Probably leave in next 2-3 weeks. Land at Islamabad Airport [should be nice to see the new airport as the old one was hidious]. Will spend time in Islamabad, Attock, Abottabad and will be visiting Peshawar, Lahore and depending on time go up north. I will upload pictures and my experiances in coming weeks.

Not sure what to say... as it's not exactly the right time to travel. Anyway, goodluck.

By the way, are you Chhachhi?

Don't forget to visit historical Peshawar and Lahore... also other cities.. Looking forward to seeing your pics... A PhotoDocumentary... video as well...

I know but this was in the works for months. I am about to inherit over £250k from my dads foreign currency accounts in Pakistan. Have got all the paperwork ready. Also will sell lot of land in the village which is in danger of bring taken by 'qabza' groups. Just leave few plots and house. Need to sort all this out now as my dad at 86 does not have long to live.

and don't go guns blazing on local
You forget more of my wider family live in Pakistan then UK. Many in army, police, FBR, Customs, PWD, judiciary etc.

That is my Pakistan. Not bothered what those living 1,000 miles think. To me the north west is blessed. I also like Lahore. Really classy people and some incredible history. Look forward to food stree and Badshahi mosque. And my wider family take me in despite what my views are. It's in the blood. I could be a athiest, speak esperanto, have british passport but when I meet them I am son of my father and a scion of the clan. Time and distance will never negate that.

@Mangus Ortus Novem And yes I will try to get a vlog going or at minimum a photolog. I just hope this stupid Covid-19 does not hit us. Particularly concerned about by my mum as she is 80 years old although she is very healthy.

lol. You should know that there are 3/4 ethnic groups in that region. I am from within this zone.

Yup, Gourgushti, Tajak, Waisa, Kalu Khurd, Formuli etc.. I got my entire maternal family from there. Some only speak Hindko, some hindko+Pushto and some just Pushto.
Bit in the south and you start to get some other languages/dialects/ethnicies too.

Good luck with your property selling thing and I hope you enjoy your time.

Wrora. Who knows you might even be related to me. Lot of people from that triangle are in UK as you know.

You take my brother @Valar. and you will know how many boys from this region serve in the army and have spilled blood on all borders of Pakistan. That impulse is what brought to me to PDF.

Could be.
Lots of my relatives are also in England. Mostly around Bradford and Manchester side. All immigrated there from 50's(mostly) to around 2000(a few).

Could easily say that around 1/4th to 1/3rd to half of the men from there have either served or are serving in the military.
