What's new

Whatever

.
hence my problem with some words...then there is this bay not BA... and others :(
yup, bey in urdu, ba in arbi

if you learn urdu first then learn arbi and/or farsi, things become very easy. learning all 3 or 2 at same time is very confusing if not downright impossible

I never learnt Farsi so...but I did learn Urdu (basics) and Arabic at about the same time...

. .
oh yes it is not compulsory to learn both, I think you are given a choice in year 6 to choose either Arabic or Farsi. but as I understood Urdu is taught from year one.
I wouldnt know...never studied in Pakistan :)

. .
I don't understand that, because you are in Pakistan, must know people around you who send kids to school, okay or just google it :)
Yes, but to my understanding the curriculum changed a bit or something...My parents had Farsi as an option my cousins dont...

At some point in between, there was Arabic being offered...So I am not sure what my age group did

What he is saying in effect is "the ummah an't gonna support us. We be alone". Essentially rendering of my signature. No ummah. But profit/loss.
Why is it that whenever you attempt to act all philosophical, you fall flat on your face.

You kept bogging @Dubious 's argument that you are not interested in the jist of it according to anyone else but ad verbum, then turn around and do exactly the same.

You posted yourself "what he is saying in effect bla bla bla" lol... as in your own jist of it...just as @Dubious predicted:

The concept of Ummah has essentially been more about individual Muslims being part of a greater body of common beliefs rather than the heads of Muslim states.

You of all people should know, that during Afghan struggle against Soviet Union, it was the participation of Muslims from Pak, Arab and other countries facilitated by Pakistan (later funded by US too) that made it an international Jehad against Soviet Russia -a real-time display of Individual Muslims from across the world acting as part of one Ummah, supporting their fellow Muslims in distress.

So your jist of Ummah that sooths your narrative of profit/loss for Muslims leaders is quite different from individual Muslims from across the Globe that make up the Ummah and who always standup for their brethren in distress.

We have seen it in crises of Rohingyas and Palestinians, bosnians and chechens and of course Kashmiris too may see such turn of events that India starts to bleed more with thousands upon thousands of cuts at the hands of an actively participating Muslim Ummah - India it seems has taken a sledge hammer and struck at its own legs as it has invoked the possibility of Participation of Muslims in a Jehad against attempted genocide of Kashmiris.

So you see, it is not about the Ummah that some two bit delusional (read @Ganga Hindustan) may have concocted in some equally two bit, self serving signature but an Ummah for which Profit and loss cannot be defined in monitory terms but the reward and satisfaction that comes from helping a brother or sister in distress - be it monitary or political help or any other form of Jehad ;).

Indians were talking at Twitter against the slaughter of animals at Eid and were trying to promote a bloodless eid and were criticizing Indian celebrities and liberals for not talking against it

Well, though I enjoy meat I am a bit of a reluctant meat eater.

One solution about the various sentiments about meat in India is that the Indian government ( which ever party is in power ) should promote artificial meat in India. During Bakrid, a symbolic sacrifice can be done.

This way the RSS people will not have at least one excuse to put up against the Muslims.

What about lamb shape cake they were sharing photos of a such cake some Muslims sacrificed cake

At this moment I don't know if a lamb-shaped sweet cake can have the same ritual effect like maybe a lamb-shaped artificial meat chunk.
