Wherever you are going, street food is a must try. (if available).
I am planning a trip to india very soon,no way they'll avoid me. :P

Haha nice. Where are you planning on going btw? People here can give you advice depending on that.

I am planning very soon a short stay (about one week, maybe a little bit more, still have to be settled on that) and would want to visit as much places as I could, even if this would be hard to Imo.. On my list, the first destination is the Rajasthan (Udaipur,Jaipur)....its palaces, its colors, its diversity is just a must see.
Now India is so much a big country, diverse places,a lot of places to visit that in one week it would be too short.

Or maybe wait til July/August when I could have the possibility to spend much more time there. I still have to see.

Ok that is a very established tourist circuit (Delhi, Agra, Rajasthan) so you will have little problem hehe. Many blogs and youtube videos etc can help you out even for a short trip. I agree you must stay focused to one zone, trying to cram too many things and places will make the trip stressful and less enjoyable.

Also be sure to take lots of rest (or just do general leisurely stuff + eating etc) during the midday/afternoon as required...mornings and evenings are the best times for outside sight seeing generally speaking.

@Mugwop I hope Haiti is spared the worst from the huge hurricane lashing it right now, and everyone comes out unscathed from it.

The prediction is for a meter of rain (nearly 40 inches) in the directly hit areas. That is a lot!
20 inches in the affected areas and around 40 inches in the mountain areas. People have been evacuating but it might take a long time to recover from this.
