In one word, Erdogan!
When he was on the upswing towards his hoped for 60% majority that would have allowed
him to change the constitution and become sultan for life, he was very nice to Turkish Kurds
as every vote counts and supported ISIL including safe haven and medical treatment.

After last elections and his waning support, he is switching around. His Muslim Brotherhood
affiliation is now in shambles with al-Sisi in full command and Assad losing control in Syria.
All that's left is the PKK scarecrow to reactivate AKP dominance. The performance of the HDP
that almost tied for 3rd position party at 13,2 % shows democracy is not working for him.

Of all the attacks made since Turkey decided to bomb in Syria, a mere dozen went to Da'ish …
the rest were aimed in South East Turkey itself.

Everything the man does is for his own power.
He'll change sides more often than a wind vane in a tornado if need be.
