So people don't like Aero. Lets see if @Aeronaut cries them a river. Lot of people have issues with a lot of other people. Aero at least has the sense and sincerity to see what's wrong with those who are guiding Pakistan today. We don't agree on MANY things, MANY of our views are antagonistic and NONE of us are absent biases or mistakes. BUT he has a keen sight and is mainly in the right. Other people in other forums will keep bellyaching about other people.

Neither, I don't support people, parties or leaders. I am of a mercenary bent in that regard, whosoever can compose a coherent and cogent policy map for the nation has my vote. At the moment I am waiting to see if someone does.

Although there are a lot of people who don't understand how the RSS and BJP work- if you're looking for the man who is the real threat to minorities its not Modi, its Togadia- he is perhaps the one man who harbors the DEEPEST hatred possible for Muslims- he was on the ground and actively promoting the rioting in 2002, HE will do so AGAIN if he ever gets the chance- and irony of ironies HE DESPISES MODI.

There are many Modi supporters who are bigots, or harbor this secret hope that he will become the PM and launch a pogrom against the minorities- they are mistaken in their beliefs. Modi has no qualms about putting foot to a$$ against idiots like these bigots. He earned Togadia's ire by demolishing in excess of a 100 or so temples, many of which were VHP addas and active grounds for their brand of extremism. He earned the RSS's ire (again the irony since the RSS now promotes him hoping to piggyback on his agenda and slip in its key men into the right posts) by picking a fight with Asaram "Bapu" (of the molestation case fame) and shutting down his asharams and properties.

The thing with Modi is that he is a mercenary himself- power is his aphrodisiac and he is VERY capable of permanently dealing with anyone who stands in his way.
