What would you like to have in the JF-17

Anyone who has actually worked in aerospace industry know that cost/price and aircraft weight are directly related so anyone wishing for medium weight jf-17 means extra $$$ and low number which defeats the original purpose of jf for paf or mass produce light weight class multi role fighter ;)
 
What. Is the source of this info ?? Or just wish list ?

Is it adding 4 hard points like J-10 two under intake and two at the rear ??

Yaara we have seen a wish list the likes of which we have not seen before. What is doable and what is practical are 2 different things. Lets see what happens next. But a wireless charger is certainly doable so you can order a KFC Bucket begore you leave for the day.

There are two items in your list that would IMMEDIATELY change the JF-17 to the point where it would force a reassessment of the rest of the list.

- AESA radar
- Networking

Information is always the highest priority, even during combat. The difference between the pilot and the soldier is that even to this day, air combat remains a one-on-one proposition. Information, if not change, then at least influences that condition. Information affects decisions, tactical and strategic. So the more information that air elements can share with each other, the better they can coordinate combat tactics that would -- not merely could -- focus maximum resources against the enemy's weakest points. In many ways, information is even more important to the pilot than to the soldier because of the greater dynamics of air combat where battlefields can move hundreds of km in minutes.

If you classify my list. its based on four elements:

1/ Denying information to the enemy (robust GAN jammer)

2/ Information superiority:
a/Data sharing (Networking over high-speed data-link capable of forming mesh for robust and inclusive information flow)
b/ Giving information superiority to the combat pilot (GAN AESA, sensor fusion [including off-board sensor received via the aforementioned networking capability])
c/ HMD for easy display of the processed data

3/ Use of the above for longer period, due to lack of numerical advantage:
a/ Increased endurance
b/ Weapons load
c/ OBOGs

4/ Last ditch performance for knife fight if it comes to it:
a/ HMD+HOBS
b/ climb rate matching modern fighters
c/ May I add better turn and acceleration while we are at it
 
latest upgraded AESA radar ... want to see double engine, double seated, double tail ... shape like a monster jet ...
That would be a totally different jet no longer jf 17

Hopefully pakistan is working on one with stealth in project azm

Use the F-16 as example on how to make improvements to a CURRENT platform. Then you prioritize the list of features based upon tactical needs, of which the end users' inputs are important. Tactically speaking, I would prefer improved sensors ahead of countermeasures if the program calls for incremental improvements.

Hi,

The weight / size of the aircraft is determined by its utility---. For what purpose it is used for under what conditions---what is the message being given to the enemy by its size---.

Cost is important---but for a 'war machine'---the utility and what it brings to the arena is more important---.
