Being a Kashmiri, I deserve to answer this question.

What will happen if all the Gujaratis want to be a part of Pakistan?

What will happen if all the Punjabis want to be a part of Pakistan?

What will happen if all the Maharashtrians want to be a part of Pakistan?

And so on…..

I am a Kashmiri migrant who lost his home in Kashmir. My house was burned and completely destroyed by terrorists. All temples were destroyed, all Shiva idols were broken down in temples; schools, shops, factories everything was destroyed.

We were supposed to change our religion or die or to simply run away from Kashmir. Many Kashmiri pandits were brutally murdered in riots; finally we had no other option left but to leave our home for ever .

After migration Jammu became a home for us. All poor, middle class and rich people were on road. It was a new home for us.

Selling Kashmiri tea, famous Kashmiri snacks, selling shawls made up of pashmina, selling dry fruits, carpets was the only source of livelihood for us.

We, the Kashmiri people, are very thankful to Balasaheb Thackrey for supporting us. He worked for the upliftment of Kashmiris.

When many homeless Kashmiris could not even dare to think of getting educated being financially poor, no resources to buy food, no shelter to live in, etc, he was first Indian to raise his voice in favour of Kashmiris and we got tremendous support from him.

He was the first who helped us to get financial aid from central government .

He introduced one engineering seat reserved for us in every college in every branch.

Average engineering fees is 98,000 whereas for us it is 25,000.

This turned out, every upcoming child is born to be an engineer . Majority of my friends, sisters ,brothers and known people are engineers. We all new generation are educated now , have secured our future and can support our families .

We all Kashmiris know that UN has declared Kashmir not to be a disputed territory any more, the matter has to be solved by only two nations.

Kashmir was assigned to be the part of Indian territory by legal paper work done by king of Kashmir Hari Singh with India. Pakistan being third party unnecessarily involved.

Kashmiri Muslims never preferred to be the part of Pakistan, and so was the case with Kashmiri Hindus.

All Kashmiris are Indian by blood. It hurts me when someone ask us to join Pakistan. Why should we go there?

I was born in India and will die here only

Answer: In the current scenario, hardly any Kashmiri would want to side with India. I say this with immense responsibility because, I for one have been, in the past, a strong proponent of the Indian side.

The reasons are obvious for Kashmiris but not so obvious for the rest. No matter how much logic you may get to the table about kashmir's prosperous future lying with India or how Kashmir will be decimated if it were to get any kind of autonomy or freedom for that matter, the pain we feel at seeing what is happening on ground firsthand just doesn't allow logic to seep in.

Even if the pain were unbearable, some kind of non-material redressal mechanism or some love from the people in whose name the Massacre is being carried out could have assuaged the affliction and ameliorated the pain greatly. But what we recieve is hate and abuse, so much so that even b4 initiating a dialogue on Kashmir Uprising, we have to digress and explain and apologize for the pandit exodus.

Every day innumerable pejorative theories are engendered to explain the distress we are living under, every day reprehensible Rants and allegations are levelled against us. For god's sake how can in this age and time anyone justify a Massacre of its own people under the umbrage of jingoistic crap.

By hurling abuses and demanding answers from the very victims who are being butchered and maimed for their right to self determination you may declare urself Patriots and Bhakts but your heart will never feel at peace. Every attempt that is made to impugn the majorly peaceful uprising(as per government estimates only 5% resort to violence-stone pelting, rest do it through non violent means) is either Vendetta or hatred impregnated stance.

I hope, positively that people of India will understand that the best way to calm down the unrest is to commit to compassionate interaction. Force and guns will only lead to the majority taking to the extremes of violence. We see it brewing here. If any thing can help reduce the impact of the political repression , it has to be emotional support

Very simple, India should let all the ones who want to stay in Pakistan cross the border and be there happily ever after. It's a win win for all.

Cut your BS, no half a million hindus were massacred, the total hindus killed was 399 from 1990 and officially India had claimed that 219 Kashmiri hindus were killed.

http://www.greaterkashmir.com/news/news/399-pandits-killed-since-1990-kpss/97140.html

India kills more Muslim Kashmiris every year.
I don't care how your co-religious people call this genocide. There were half million Hindus in Kashmir in 1990 but became ZERO in 1992. How did this happen? If it is not genocide then what else is genocide.

They can move there, no 1 is stopping them.

We all Kashmiris know that UN has declared Kashmir not to be a disputed territory any more, the matter has to be solved by only two nations.

This guy isn't Kashmiri because according to UN IoK is still disputed till referendum is held.

They are in Jammu or other parts of India, what genocide? Valley is piss poor with hardly any opportunity for work. Most Kashmiris live of serving Indian army or doing centuries jobs like farming. All pandits are engineers if OP is rights, what are they going to do in IoK?

I am speaking about Hindus in Kashmir valley. There were half a million Hindus in the valley in 1990 whose number became a BIG ZERO in 1992.
You guys are clever in diverting topic when it is not favouring you and have a uncanny ability to justify any cruelty. Just like you now justify a genocide just because the survivors have become Engineers.

And is that based on your independent statistics or did you just dream up a number and vomit it out

They can move there, no 1 is stopping them.

Why don't you go and convey your feelings to them personally I'm sure they'll listen to an Indian after all you Indians do think so highly of yourselves
