But to answer your post, you dont really understand western culture, people like chatting with servers, asking for recommendations, like the humane touch. Any restaurant that employs bots will quickly go out of business. Obviously now im referring to "restaurants" - places where people sit down and dine, not referring to fast food places like mcdonalds or kfc or dominoes etc.. Today we have more then 450 trucks and 170 owner-drivers and we are not the only ones with this story. Ok my dad owned a buisness in the UK with his brother who could not get a green card because he spent 3 years in prison for GBH but we are not the only ones many stories like ours . My dad's generation worked hard to educate their kids me not included meth girls and even being kicked out of continuation high school that was only 3 hours a day but i worked hard to increase our UK business and i am doing well. Hard work save money and you can do a lot and US is a grat place for that

Thank you my brother I was about 10 years into my addiction and had just done 3 straight runs from Sacramento to LA .High on meth no sleep 3 days and with a full 80 000 pound load on my semi fell asleep dummy dots woke me up . Got back to the yard parked the truck up told my dad I'm off work until i stop my drug abuse. I was 25 i am now 46 21 years clean from meth and valium and now do volunteer work for turning point.

Lower tier schools' system need still needs good qualification in teaching Degree which are far suprior to Pakistani Standards, what I have seen some cousins studying in Illama Iqbal university courses, I found those standard very low, about grade 8-9 in USA

There are plenty of high paid skilled trade roles in US and Canada. In fact, an experienced truck driver or plumber can earn as much as a fresher in finance/business role - easy 70-80k mininum. Look at truck driving, plumbing, roofing, construction worker, welder etc whatever is easier for you. If possible, join a trade school in Pakistan while you await your visa, this will make it easier once you are there.

So ever year everyone repairs 10-15 things around home

Not just plaster over it with cement and forget to paint one side of home

It all depends on which part of US, city/area they move to and the economy at the time. There are no shortage of jobs even illegals find work. The question is finding the right job/work and the key that is skilling and reskilling. Initially it will be tough but gradually things will be tough. I had to work in home depot lol, but really appreciated the experience of working there and learnt so much abut Americans and big businesses. There is a lot of competition for skilled jobs so make sure he is in the right field which is in demand and with the right skills.

If you are in California along the central valley we got transport companies owned by Punjabis crying out for drivers.
