What Opportunities are Available for an Unskilled Person in US

hello my friends,

one of my friend is unmarried and single also he is not skilled in any kind of profession. he has done graduation. he is only a teacher in middle school . he belongs to lower middle class family. his age is almost 38 . his english is average and just fine .

someone approached him for a Girl proposal who have US citizenship. the girl is in 30s. single never married. just high school education . belongs to religious background. wear hijab and niqab . pray 5 times . her family belong to Pakistan . i believe the girl is in Pakistan right now.

its only 50/50 chance at this time but seems like the boy will move to US after marriage . so he wants to know that what are the opportunities of job and work for him in US .

since he knows his auqaat . he is not looking for some kind of white color job. so what other jobs or work he can get for living . to support his future wife and also his family back home.

also how much time it will take for him to have a US visa after marriage .

i believe many are here from US and i will appreciate if brothers here will guide us.

since i am asking for a friend , so i hope mods wont delete it. so my friend can get work and feed his family members in Halal way .

thanks
First question you need to ask is if the wife earn enough to support him in the US, if you apply a marriage visa to the US, you need to demonstrate you (The American) have the mean to support your sponsor (The boy), when I applied my wife, who was a swede, I need to show them I earn more than 30,000 USD (Or whatever related to the poverty line in the US) a year so I can qualify for a visa, if both the boy and his wife do not have higher education, they most likely will not be able to show they can support their stay in the US and hence have the visa reject, which is very bad if it come to it because IIRC you cannot reapply for a visa for 5 or 10 years (think reject is 5 and cancel is 10) if they rejected you once.

If I were the boy, I will first go to seek some advice from an Immigration lawyer and see if they can really apply for a US visa first, just because you married to an American does not means you can automatically grand a visa to live in America. Then you worry about whether or not you can find a job in America. Because that is quite subjective, it's basically depend on person and their luck if you are unskilled.

For work he can find underground IT school run by bhartis. They will train him for free in 6-8 months then make him a resume or cv as a professional senior system administrator or cyber security specialist with over 10 years of experience. They will then contract him for work where he makes over 100k salary annually but will keep 70% of his earnings for a year or two. After that time period expires, your friend has to buy his freedom from their IT slavery for a flat fee of 12-15k dollars. After acquiring all of the work experience getting hired independently is not a problem and sometimes these bhartis will even give you their contact as references.

I know a few people that have done this. Many of them used to drive ubers and trucks back home in Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh and had no formal education past high school.

Hi Sir,

Depends on how he wants to live his life. Not exactly sure how long his paperwork process would take after being married but the couple is gonna have to prove to the investigating officer on serious they are and its not hoax.

Thats one thing once you pass that part then comes moving here, first thing he/she would notice is the culture shock so be prepared for that. takes 6 months to an year to get familiar with the system and how life works here.

once getting social security number and Driver license he/she can start working without hassles. You can work as a delivery driver or delivery service provider if lucky somewhere in a store or gas station.
To have a white color or good paying desk job You will need a degree from here for sure , assuming you already have some sort of degree from Pakistan.

let me know if have other questions. happy to help.

happy to get answer, thanks brother.

Truck drivers are in-demand in the west nowadays due to labor shortage. You don't need much education and communication skills for it. That is why Indians are swarming that occupation.
Ask your friend to get experience in driving modern trucks and work for a license as soon as he arrives in USA.
thanks bro. appreciate alot.

thats good. i heard they often hire assistant teacher for school etc. also they provide courses for that . but thanks brother .

Teaching role may be hard as they need 4-year education and many other requirement
you can't just walk into Teaching role

Normally PHD gets in in university teaching

Lower tier schools' system need still needs good qualification in teaching Degree which are far suprior to Pakistani Standards, what I have seen some cousins studying in Illama Iqbal university courses, I found those standard very low, about grade 8-9 in USA

There are plenty of high paid skilled trade roles in US and Canada. In fact, an experienced truck driver or plumber can earn as much as a fresher in finance/business role - easy 70-80k mininum. Look at truck driving, plumbing, roofing, construction worker, welder etc whatever is easier for you. If possible, join a trade school in Pakistan while you await your visa, this will make it easier once you are there.

Plumbers, repair folks make lot of money with their own service
As Western nations have culture of maintaining their homes, neighborhood and citizens
So ever year everyone repairs 10-15 things around home

Not just plaster over it with cement and forget to paint one side of home

Tell him to learn how to cook from his Ammi or Khala etc, then find work in a desi kitchen/restaurant.

Have your friend get a skill. That is the best course of action for himself and his family's future prosperity.

Here is your quick guide:

#1. After marriage, wife will apply for visa. She Don’t need a lawyer (expensive), there are Desi and other folk who do tax immigration paperwork. It’s will take approx a years for him to go through process and get his visa.

Before wife apply for visa she needs to make sure on her ( W2 Tax return form ) she is earning enough money to support her husband, or any of her relatives who earning enough money can attach their Tax return forms for visa purposes.

#2. Once in US, Use masjid as a resource. Lot of ppl will be willing to help you find a stater job. Most new immigrants start at store clerks.

Once he get his Social security number and Green card apply for security job. Start from small company. It’s very easy job. Big companies don’t usually hire brand new immigrants. Rest after sometime he will be able to navigate himself.
