no no , there is lots of potential in IT in North America and Europe but it depends on what field you choose in IT. Telecom related IT is quite slow right now but supply chain management and ERP is very hot, specially with companies looking to reduce cost and substitute man power with technology. I myself started with a basic degree in software Engineering, then branched out into ERP, did my SAP certifications in SCM modules, got my PM certification and then did a masters in Information Systems. Now i work in Supply Chain Management as a purchaser. There is a lot of scope but you have to choose your field properly, dont follow the herd.
True and it is always easy for experienced peoples to get another job but the real problem is for beginners who will be lacking WORK EXPERIENCE.
I was in IT for about 3 years and then i decided to change my course to accounting. You can earn more money in this field and it is easy to get a job anywhere in the world.
