That is why I recommended that we focus of reducing our imports and set up a technology intensive industry. That said, I do not think that we are too weak to settle this dispute in the near future.Peace will never be achieved by taking a defensive stance. You always ask for peace from a position of parity or advantage. There has never been an equitable solution to a crisis by peaceful means when there is disparity. Look at all the nations that have sued for peace and the outcomes and correlate it with their respective strength and you will get the answer. There will be no peace till the Kashmir solution is found taking into consideration the wishes of all 3 parties. If you try resolving this from a defensive posturing you will never achieve anything.

I proposed that we support their efforts towards gaining a permanent seat only after we reach a deal.how many incentives do you have in your mind which Pakistan could extend & would be valuable enough for India .....???
in exchange for what ...???
What interest of Pakistan would be served by this gesture .... ???
and most importantly Do they need our support for Security Council membership .... ??
without being the member of Security council India is not resolving Kashmir issue but we should believe that after becoming the member India will resolve the Kashmir issue as per the aspiration and will of Kashmiri people ..... ???
