Fun song. In what era is the film set ?

It's set majorly in the 40s - 70s era.

The movie is based on Krishnarao Ganpatrao Sable's life who was a popular Marathi folk artist. He sung many popular songs and became an influential figure because his songs connected with the masses. His wife Bhanumati Sable wrote the lyrics for most of his songs. In 1998, he was awarded the Padma Shri for his contribution to the field of arts.

In the movie, it's his great-grand daughter Sana Kedar Shinde playing the role of Bhanumati Sable.

His popular song 'Jai Jai Maharashtra Mazha' is Maharashtra's official state song.
