I don't think he has done any such thing. Pakistan's ties with Malaysia are still strong. When Mahatir spoke out, he did that out of personal conviction for which he is to be saluted.Imran Khan has severely severely blundered by hanging Mahatir out to dry while dishing out bustard hunting permits to GCC states.
I'm appalled that IK is not at the forefront of aggressively backing Mahatir politically and economically.
I can only apologise to all Malaysians and hope IK rapidly counters the malaysian Palm oil export shortfall.
The same goes for Turkey. We take a lot of heat because of our conviction based stance on Palestine and Cyprus (from time to time). Do we give up on Palestine because the Saudis and the Emeratis sign multi-billion dollar deals with India while Kashmir burns or as a result of our support to Palestinians, the Israelis aid India more? We don't.
So let's take things in the proper context. Nobody from Pakistan could have forced Mahatir Mohammed to say what he said. He is standing by what he said and credit to him for supporting HIS brethren in Kashmir (Kashmiris sirf Pakistan kay bhai nahi hain). They will find alternate buyers with some pain but better to see that through now than being subjected to Indian arm twisting in the future.
