What's new

We need more J-10Bs

I think Pakistan just needs honest Leader that will done the trick and the ultimate solutions to all it's problems.

MRCA nos of 126 are the minimum required.

IF LCA MK2 fails this order will grow to well over 200.

One other point the MRCA winnner will be either Typhoon or F18SH not mig35 which is bottom of the pile (after GORSKHOV fiasco) and the F16 oldest & most limited of the 6 contenders

.
i hope mig-35 will arrive in IAF
as far as my view is concerned i think we should have more then
54 J-10s by last quarter of 2016
with 150 jf-17,44 f-16s and 61 f-7pgs

well you may increase your wish list by some more JF17 as we may be getting more then 150 by 2016 if the upgradation for new block do not cause much trouble in terms of supplies!
for J10, rather the FC20 the number will go down for this time fram. however we will get more of them latter on!

just suppose if american allows us to buy f-16 then what we would do at that time
would we still go for j-10?

well arre yo trying to say that the LCA will be capable enough to come up to the lights of F18, F16, Eurofighter, Mig35 and all that

i need not say anything more if you are actually thinking on these lines!!

LCA hopefull will make the grade and 120 LCA will replace MIG21s and act as low end Num,beer fillers.

If not (and the LCA fails IAF MIN requirements) the drop in nos will be filled by more MRCA/SU30MKI

ie 300 su30mki as oppose 230

200 MRCA as oppose 126

150 JAG/MIRAGE2000

I think most wud like LCA to succed for India,s future aero industry

I am not so sure on numbers, but I somehow doubt we will reach 150 by 2015. As to upgradedThunder. It will all depend on what upgrades happen and somehow even testing might consume 12-18 months
As to J10, i think we will get it in batches and we will get roughly upto 100. Dont quote me on this but my feeling is we will get loads of J10s.

Read and learn. LCA? the ultimate goal of Indians is to built its own independent brand. However, only third-generation fighter aircraft to meet the application of small-scale war, but it is not suitable to resistance the fourth generation fighters.
where's India's fourth-generation fighter aircraft?

O really...Paksitanis don't require to worry about this.. Indian Benchmark indices is just 13% down from 2007 highs....Whereas the US mkt Indices is still down 30% from its 2007 Highs.....Money is not a problem for Indian Govt. Now..... already central govt. Employees salary increased almost 2.3 times and Now Govt. is giving them Inflation bonus also....

as far as LCA is concerned .... IAF is doing right thing by evaluating it on the basis of its requirment...and When India can Fund PAKFA program, Long range AA missile programe, Buy Hawkeyes even be4 inducted in the US... then how can 100-150planes be a problem...

This whole deal size of MRCA is 12 Billion US Dollar with ToT... where as single Indian group , TATA STEEL, bought UK based steel company CORUS for 11 Billion dollar and tht also 3 years ago( I hope u ppl know the value of money)

wel dear after looking at DRDO performance and the mess they have created of an average fourth generation plane, the LCA, do you stil beleive that DRDO is going to deleiver a fifth generation plane in time (if ever) and become the only second nation to produce a fifth generation plane!!
i am sorry for being harsh but it relly is living in fools paradise...
sorry again!!
