Bruv I know that! And that's why I said 'joking'. It was meant to be a joke. :)

Nah some think they are too sophisticated to do that. and it kinda look cheap to them... But kill me if i am in 5 star or anywhere i cant eat dosa with a knife and fork. the dosa and a parantha can only be eaten by hand... and these idiots die trying to cut it with knife.

ok one last thing i need to know from non-southies.......in ahmedabad, mumbai and pune where i worked all the people had a peculiar way of eating dosa...first they would eat with only spoon even if it was paper dosa......second they will eat raw dosa first and then eat spoonfuls of chutney/sambhar.....do all the people eat like this only or this is limited to those employed in software....those wannabe-hifis.....? it looks totally awkward like drinking boiled water first and then putting sugar and tea powder down your throat...

and another thing...do you guys always eat chapati/roti with two hands..?

Well here we always eat by hands in Indian restaurants. Because it is Indian food, it is supposed to be eaten by hands. Specially by right hand. It's of the etiquette of Indian dining right? They have boards saying 'Indian food, tastes batter when eaten by hands.' and stuff. Maybe in India they use knife and a fork. :)

It doesnt matter much on how they eat and what all they eat.. it all eventually comes out through one place.North, South, East or West. LOL...

Most people eat chapatis with one hand but there is no rule and i am equally surprised by the way they eat dosa.My way of eating the dosa is different too but not like this.I firstly take all the masala from inside and take small portions of it with every bite and dip every bite in sambhar and chutney.

Yes we all eat like this. :) Typical habbit of Daal-Chapaati, you know :P. And by the way, if you notice, your Dosai is different from our Dosa :D

Nopes, Mostly we eat chapati with one hand. left hand should not be used, Reason is obvious ;) but then every one cant make soft chapatis which can be torn by one hand. :D
