Washingtonpost: Straight out of the Nazi playbook’: Hindu try to engineer ‘genius’ babies in India

In Rig Veda, the Aryans are described as light skinned while the 'evil' dasyus are described as dark skinned and noseless.
RSS being Hindu nationalists are trying to make them closer to the original Aryans as described in the holy scriptures.
Its too late now for that

It is clear as daylight who won the debate here. It is not you.

The moment you start advocating for "babies of dark-skinned parents with lesser height to have fair complexion and grow taller." You've automatically lost, you just don't know it yet. Call it delusional.

Where is the discrimination?

Its called colorism or shadeism and its form of discrimination.

Who has been attacked or hurt for you to cry discrimination.

You do understand that the definition of discrimination doesn't actually involve an "attack" or "hurting" someone?

Why should there be no liking for a fair or a tall child? Is anyone here hating on dark or small children? If not, what is the discrimination?

Wrong questions.

The question you need to answer are:
  • Why can't you accept a dark-skinned baby? Can you specify what precisely is wrong with the dark-skinned baby that you need him/her to be fair-skinned?
  • Why should dark-skinned parents aspire to have fair children? Again, specify why the pitch is being made to them and not fair-skinned parents.

These guys are not scientists

The statement is from "Dr." Hitesh Jani so these "guys" are not exactly illiterate. :D

Also,

TZUoYKj.jpg

Notice: Dr. Hitesh Jani is giving a presentation on "scientific knowledge" but I agree he is a fraud, not a scientist. :D

they don't talk in politically correct language or scientific language.

There is nothing scientific about the discriminatory statements Dr Hitesh Jani made and despite his claims of dispersing "scientific knowledge", he is a fraud.

A whole lot of children are malnutritioned and have stunted growth as per "scientific" studies with various recommendations to govt to work on rectifying this deficit. So when people do not want stunting of their own children is that being discriminatory? Does not talking in scientific or politically correct language make one a racist? All parents want their children to be better off than them. We all seek to leave behind a generation which is better than us both physically as well as morally. This is the truth of every society in the world and entire world's effort is in that direction. This is basic humanity and you won't find a more humane society than India.

Again, why is the pitch being made to "dark-skinned parents"? Why are they being told they should aspire "to have fair complexion" babies?

Hello welcome to reality and out of victim seeking behavior.

Bullshit. Keep pulling out more isms from your *** and keep looking for discrimination where no one has been discriminated.

You do understand that the definition of discrimination doesn't actually involve an "attack" or "hurting" someone?

Oh yes of course I understand that. There is positive discrimination and we all function with our discriminative reasoning intact. That is how we understand to eat the food and not the plate on which the food is served. So yeah there is positive discrimination and that is good. So why are you crying about a positive discrimination here?

Wrong questions.

It is all in your mind and your faulty mental framework.

No one is rejecting a dark skinned baby. It does not happen. When a baby is born whether dark or fair it is equally cherished and loved by the parents. Dark skinned children are neither materially or socially or familially deprived in India. Fair skinned babies get more pinched cheeks initial reactions and that is about the extent of their privilege.

Why should dark skinned parents not aspire to have fair children? Is it a crime to have fair children or aspire to have one? Fair skinned people want to get a tan and dark skinned people want to be fairer, this is just one of the grass is greener on the other side things and not some real victimisation societal evil that you are looking for. So stop hyperventilating.

Notice: Dr. Hitesh Jani is giving a presentation on "scientific knowledge" but I agree he is a fraud, not a scientist. :D

Dr. Jani is not a fraud. He is speaking as per his speciality of Ayurveda and Ayurveda does not use Western medicine lingo and nor are they trained in it.

Again, why is the pitch being made to "dark-skinned parents"? Why are they being told they should aspire "to have fair complexion" babies?

It is their choice. Maybe you don't understand the concept of free market and free choices. People can be attracted to any color and have any sort of preference and that is none of your business. They can be told anything, it is their choice to listen to it and follow or not follow. It is like the choice is being imposed on them by this org or the govt.

I never heard this news being in india. No media has published it.
Either it is a fake news or a simple cheap leval marketing propaganda of someone to attract and misguide newly married couple.

RIP English. RIP spellings. RIP "proper college education".

Ergo, I said:

While reading a history book should be your goal, I suggest you start with Wikipedia for now.

Complains about valid argument. Resorts to an ad hominem. Doltish indeed.
Excuse my typos. You still can't point out any similarities between the two. Carry on troll. Carry on.

Triggered. :partay:

And this is what losing looks like, i.e., ad hominem, name calling, etc.

For reference, you're at the bottom of the pyramid.

This is what you said:

Hint: This is not an example of "positive discrimination". Try again. :D

Denial.

You can't project your personal delusions on others. Refer to the sources below along with personal accounts from South Asian (Tamil, Bangladeshi, etc.) and African women.

Again, denial.

Discrimination based on skin colour, or Colourism/Shadeism, is an open secret:

Here are first person accounts of the impact of Colourism/Shadeism from South Asian (Tamil, Bangladeshi, etc.) and African women:

Why should dark skinned parents not aspire to have fair children?

What is the reason for dark-skinned parents aspiring to have fair children?

It is our business because we are part of the free market of ideas hence I'm debating these nasty ideals in open. Welcome to the free market of ideas.

No doubt "Dr." Hitesh Jani is a fraud who sells "scientific knowledge" while imposing his delusional views Colourism/Shadeism on others.

Fact 1: Yes, Indians are some what obsessed with Skin Colour.
Fact 2: Indians love their children, irrespective of their colour.
Fact 3: This whole news about RSS, which this thread is based on, is a completely lie.
Fact 4: Hindu haters usually grab on these false news, propagate it multiple times to make it "real".

Excuse my typos. You still can't point out any similarities between the two. Carry on troll. Carry on.

And the answer is still the same, read the topics I listed so we can have an informed discussion. I'm not here to spoon feed you, princess.

It is in no way similar to the Nazi playbook, even if it was "real news". If only you had read up on the topic yourself- you wouldn't continue arguing mindlessly.
You are equipped with no solid knowledge of the subject at hand. Your arguments only consist of constant finger pointing.
Im out. Enjoy your day!

The troll has spoken! :partay:

Meanwhile, in the real world:

Nazism-inspired 20th century eugenics fused with Hindutva psychobabble is at the core of Sangh ideology. (Indian News Source)

True man...The fascists Hindus are killing people all over the world, blowing buildings, bombing people, mowing down people with vehicles. You name it, the fascist Hindus have done it.

Read the article you posted, and the section what this dunce author calls "Straight out of Nazi playbook"- and notice how she doesn't point to any similarities- instead writes in tangents. She describes the Nazi eugenics and continues her rant.
Not trying to come off as a troll- but am genuinely interested in what similarities there might be besides of course both being eugenics.

@Khanate Also trying to write off the "fair/white/pale skinned" obsession as solely an Indian problem is false too. You'll see this same inferiority complex spanning all of Asia-from the Middle East to China. Indians are of course riddled by it, albeit to an unhealthy extent.

You're not even trying.

Dietrich Eckart, who developed the ideology of a "genius superman", based on writings by Lanz von Liebenfels, was a member of the Nazi party and one of its ideologues. These ideas also took root in the Soviet Union in the form of "New Soviet Man". Ergo, "Straight out of the Nazi playbook".

Also as pointed out by the writer,

Although the RSS had next to nothing participation in the Indian freedom struggle, and even though it had decided to support the British and pick Muslims, Christians and the seculars as the true enemy of India, the sting of being a “weak Hindu”, a physically inferior collection of people has never stopped hurting the Sangh.

Inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s calls for martial glory to be found in a recreated industrial Hinduism, the original RSS stalwarts found a political validity in racial resurrection championed by Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich.

And even now, a racially pure search for homeland or creation of one along racially/communally pure lines appeals to the RSS and is at the heart of its ideology, and that is what explains the political admiration that many in the Sangh have for Zionist Israel, even though Jews were the main targets of the Nazi regime.

Read my earlier post,

Again, this is the statement of Dr Hitesh Jani, national convener of Arogya Bharati:

The parents may have lower IQ, with a poor educational background, but their baby can be extremely bright. If the proper procedure is followed, babies of dark-skinned parents with lesser height can have fair complexion and grow taller.
Explain how is this not discrimination? Why does a dark-skinned child needs to be fair? or tall? What part of Indic science promotes this view? By defending what is clearly wrong, you are demeaning million of people on this planet. Don't defend these positions. Please. There is no religious subtext here, no India vs Pakistan. There are dark-skinned people in Pakistan. This is a question of basic humanity. (Source)

I pleaded with @Samudra Manthan so we wouldn't have to hash out these ugly arguments. I didn't want this debate to be about religion, country or a match of egos since dark-skinned people live across South Asia so you're not doing me, a Pakistani, any favours by rejecting these ideologies. Sadly, people will argue in favour of something that is clearly wrong simply out of tribal instincts or whatever other rationale they may give themselves.
