Well to be fair, infrastructure had been built to small unimportant cities since before the trade war. What you don't understand is that these small, unimportant cities tend to grow and become important after being connected to infrastructure. I told you to the check the contribution of manufacturing to employment, it is not the loss of jobs, it's the lack of workers now, we are even importing cheap cheap viets to fill in the ranks now.

I go to Vietnam once every few years for some cheap food and fun. the scooter mania is crazy over there. They can't afford cars, so they flood the highways with these scooters. Now China is building a metro for them...I guess it will reduce that craziness. And yet these Viets are ungrateful.

Walmart is not wrong, the context you are playing with is wrong. Walmart is ONLY ONE buyer from China. You cannot generalize all factories based on ONE BUYER. You must back it up with facts and figures. Same question:

1) Which factories are desperate and affected? All FACTORIES?
2) How to define desperate? Which sector. Exports to US is only a small part of the economy.

What Walmart say is: when tariff is 25% to the products Walmart need to buy, then no one cant buy anymore cos no profit.

And 25% tariff still not applied to all Cnese products ( like Iphone )yet .So, when Trump slap 25% tariff on Iphone and all Cnese products, then No one will buy made in CN Iphone.

If Vietnam buys components from China and builds an ipod or ipad and exports to US, that is not tariff-able unless US wants to screw you too. Judging from Trump's tweet, they deem you even more tariff-able than China, so I guess production will move to Cambodia or Indonesia. So much for reaping the benefits genius. I think you have an understanding problem. Do you understand what is trade? China buys EU goods and EU buys Chinese goods because they need to exchange goods Nd services not because they sell to US. You can take US out of the equation, and the trade will still remain. How does this equate to Europe re-exporting Chinese goods? Are you coherent?
