2) How many of the factories are affected by the tariffs? Having 25% tariffs does not mean all trade stops, it means some might be affected while most will remain and the US consumers will absorb that cost.

Please provide me these statistics, then only you tell me we are collapsing. US trade is not as great as it used to be and a large portion of our economy is based on internal consumptions nowadays. With or without a trade war, printing money like hot cakes is not sustainable. US system is bound to implode. The main thing we did in 2008 was to support the dollar system and instill confidence in it. But at that time, we were still highly dependent on exports. Nowadays, the table has turned, but US is still highly vulnerable but mentally erratic, thinking they are invincible. It is in our interest to let them stabilize while internationalizing yuan, we don't need the whole world to accept it, only key countries with oil, Russia, Iran, Venezuela. I don't think anybody likes Armageddon, Russia will launch nukes even if US attacks us. That's their first strike doctrine. Trade war is nothing but child's play, it will get sorted out or maybe even never, neither country will collapse. But nuclear war is a different ball game.
