I just say now China Navy has about 200+ warships (DDGs+FFGs+Missile boats+subs), if each can carry 8x anti-ship missiles like YJ-18/12 & C-803/802/702 ... there'r 1,600x missiles can attack Vietnam targets just from PLAN ships. And i didn't talk Army DF-3/5/11/15/16/21/31/41 missiles there can fly over the border.

So the 'Paper Dragon' - China really won't care how many K-300P systems from Vietnam can attack China HaiNan island, if that happen we just make sure ten thousands missile in our hand can throw back to end A STUPID WAR.

Having the capability does not necessarily mean actually doing it. America has the capability to glass the entire planet 10 times over, yet it does not do so. China has the capability to incinerate Vietnam, but She will not do so because at the end of the day the Chinese, as civilizational progenitors of East Asia, always wishes to cultivate peace and growth within the region. Whether you like it or not (or for nationalistic folks for that matter), the Chinese actually wish to build greater economic and cultural links with Viet Nam, as do most Vietnamese (the average folks, not the uber nationalistic ones).

I think the time of war in East Asia has ended. Now is the time for cooperation and development. The politicization of territorial disputes is a guise, a guise to eventually cause greater integration of Asian countries. In the end, I believe that the region (Vietnam included) will find common ground with the Chinese. As in Confucian culture and much of Chinese society is based on and focused on the concept of Finding Harmony internally and externally.

If it gets too much, the mod will just delete those posts to save face for them, but hardly ban them. Hence, you will find out that most Chinese members here will always troll and insult other people because they have a free pass to do so.

lol I remember I once did a test on this forum, I gone punch by punch with term that a Chinese poster used on me and I reverted back at him at almost the same way, I got a warning after 2 post and he punch out 10 of those without being banned.

People who say the mod in this section is fair, well, as long as you are Pro-China, then yes, otherwise, you will be a man.

I don't generally report post as well, I think I did in a couple of occasion, one being a poster posted some really disturbing image. But I am pretty sure Chinese member here usually use report to slight "Disagreement" and resulting in ban to number of non Chinese member in the Chinese subforum.

Thank you for your insights, Sir. I agree with you. I don't know why the mod in this section tolerates the immature and petty insults from his compatriots. It lowers the intellectual credibility of this forum. And more importantly, his leniency towards his countrymen only further encourages them to troll, which further reinforces the image that his countrymen are mostly unintellectual and low class. Which is not true at all, because there were some very intelligent Chinese members here (who now hardly post anymore).

I had always wanted to interact and learn from smart Chinese members, but the biased moderation in this section has left this section with 95% unintellectual and disrespectful Chinese members. I cringed everytime I see them trying to debate with knowledgeable and experienced people like you and jhungary. It is sad to see them constantly getting mauled due to their lack of knowledge. I once got a warning for posting "off-topic/post of no value" (it wasn't offensive or an insult at all). I guess labelling a whole ethnic group as "monkeys" are ON-topic and of great value according to the mod here. LOL

Scientific community and Western 'experts' don't have the slightest clue about the capabilities of the PLA. That's why whenever China shows off a new technology they are always surprised.

Chinese and US nuclear arsenal are very similar in size. US will get it as good as it gives in a nuclear war with the PLA.
