I'm from dalian, immigrated from Shandong. Ok, but this is true, that's why OP compare Vietnam with Guangxi, they do share many similarities.
oh, liaoning province ,it is a insult to you say them as viet ,LoL . you like your northeast people to be considered as you are similar to korean and mogolia ? i'm from hubei, immigrated from 江西吉安(江西填湖广,湖广填四川,四川填云贵/桂),hope everybody could stop meaningless discussion.

No need to make this kind of comparison, we are not at the same level at all.

If my Chinese friends really wanna counter the Viet trolls, I suggest find some abject Vietnam news and post. There must be plenty of them.

Indeed, no need to engage the Vietnamese (and Indian) trolls.

It s so easy to browse the internet and post stuff about these countries, pushing them into the corner to try to defend themselves. This can go on days after days. Just what they have been doing on this section. But, why stoop to their level?

Better ignore the Viet and Indian trolls, and of found insulting, report their post.

I guess my friend @bolo has learned this the hard way. LOL. :)

yesterday he joined the PDF, and make a "great" work of his life.
I want to advise him "you can't move forward if you always look behind you"

Let make some comparison as
- Guangxi vs Singapore / vs South Korea
- Beijing vs Singapore
Beijing vs Taiwan

If a country claim they are rich, we should study how they describe about poverty ?
under 2,300 yuan / person / year ( about 1 USD / day / person )

Comparing Chinese provinces with countries: All the parities in China | The Economist

They assign Vietnam equivalents Yunnan

Not sure, Tokyo with 1.9 trillion of GDP would be compared to which area in China?
---------------------------
What are the poorest areas in China?
I read an article yesterday written by a Chinese tourist about her shocking experience in the DaLiang Shan area of Si Chuan province, which is only a few hours drive from some of the richest cities of China.

Children there walk 4 hours each day through a mountain area to go to school and go back home, and the only food they have for the day are potatoes during breakfast. Starving is daily life for them and many look like skeletons. Almost all children in that area developed malnutrition related desease.

I grew up in China, but was never aware of children in my own home country are starving due to poverty. The sad fact makes me wonder what other areas in China have this same problem.

ANSWER

According to a 2011 report by The Economist, the three poorest Chinese provinces by GDP are #1 Guizhou with $3,335 per person--slightly lower than India's GDP per capita. #2 is Gansu with $4,031 and #3 is Yunnan with $4,280. Obviously, this measure ignores income inequality within provinces, so there could conceivably be areas in Zhejiang, one of China's richer provinces, where people's income is far lower than in Kunming, Yunnan's capital city. However, overall these three provinces are China's three poorest.

Right. My suggestion was for the op because i found this thread is a ridiculous comparision. For example GuangXi is one of the most poorest province in China but there are still many illegal Viets stealing into GuangXi to find a low paid (compared to the native)job.

Yes, it exists. But it's because your workers are very incompetent and lack basic working skills. This story tells us cheap labor is not the only meaningful factor.
Nobody ever said China is paradise and i'm not gonna argue with you about the comparision between China and Vietnam.ByeBye.

I dont get the point, what do you mean by this picture?
Some factories in Vietnam sometimes even have to shut down their production due to troubles in finding enough competent Viets workers, so they must try to hire Chinese workers from China. It's sad from your perspective.
